  • Publication number: 20230013548
Abstract: A clot capture catheter having an outer inflatable expansile member and an inner inflatable expansile member positioned within the outer inflatable expansile member at a distal end of a shaft of the catheter is presented herein. The inner and outer inflatable expansile members can have differing compliance than each other. Inflation of a higher compliance inner inflatable expansile member can cause a lower compliance outer inflatable expansile member to shorten and provide tension to the distal end of the shaft to case the distal end to open to a funnel shape. Inflation of a lower compliance inner inflatable expansile member can center the distal end of the shaft within a vessel, and inflation of a higher compliance outer inflatable member can provide atraumatic flow arrest to the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20220331510
Abstract: Devices and methods of the disclosure use an intravascular catheter with deployable sealing elements to create a fluid trap around an outlet of a lymphatic duct and drain lymph passively to a collection vessel that may be pressurized to a predetermined pressure or a partial vacuum. Due to the fixed pressure, the device creates a low-pressure area at the lymphatic duct, which drains lymph passively without any mechanical pump or impeller. In certain aspects, a device includes a catheter for insertion into a vein of the venous angle of a patient, with proximal and distal sealing elements deployable to seal the vein to thereby define a fluid trap around the lymphatic outlet. A port within the fluid trap opens to a drainage lumen extending along the catheter to a collection vessel. The device may be configured such that the drainage lumen passively drains the fluid trap into the collection vessel.

  • Patent number: 11395667
Abstract: A clot capture catheter comprises an elongate tubular shaft having a proximal end, a distal end and an inflatable expansile member at the distal end. The expansile member is inflatable from a collapsed delivery configuration to an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member extends to define a funnel shape having an enlarged distal clot entry mouth at the distal-most end of the catheter. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member may extend distally beyond the distalmost tip of the shaft. The expansile member may be integral with the distal tip of the catheter shaft.
