  • Patent number: 11918330
Abstract: A occupant detection and monitoring system has a sensor unit having a radio wave transmitter, a radio wave receiver, and a wireless transmitter configured to detect and receive vital signs of an occupant; a user interface having a microcontroller, a wireless receiver configured to receive the wireless signals transmitted from the sensor unit, a means for user input, and a network card; and a means for alerting occupants and third-parties to a triggering event; wherein the microcontroller, based upon logic, activates the alerting means at the triggering event. The sensor unit may be a camera that detects the presence of an individual and register their unique heart rhythm for identification purposes. This camera can be installed at the entry points of a home, behind the counter of a business near a cash register or at a bank or any other place that desires to use surveillance as a form of security. The sensor unit may be a light bulb that comprises the components of the sensor unit.

  • Publication number: 20190193840
Abstract: A multi horizontal rotor drone having a propulsion unit coupled to a payload housing by a multi-axial gimbal assembly. The centers of mass of each of these three components resides at a common point that also coincides with the pitch and roll axes (and optionally the yaw axis) of the gimbal assembly's rotational orientations. The propulsion unit has the minimal operational mass necessary while the majority of the drone's mass is located onto the payload housing. With this arrangement, the payload housing can be stabilized on its center of gravity independent of the roll, pitch and yaw changes undergoing by the propulsion unit, during the drone's flight.

  • Patent number: 7644113
Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for continuous back up of data stored on a computer network. To this end the systems of the invention include a synchronization process that replicates selected source data files data stored on the network and to create a corresponding set of replicated data files, called the target data files, that are stored on a back up server. This synchronization process builds a baseline data structure of target data files. In parallel to this synchronization process, the system includes a dynamic replication process that includes a plurality of agents, each of which monitors a portion of the source data files to detect and capture, at the byte-level, changes to the source data files.

  • Patent number: 6795535
Abstract: A telephony application architecture which allows creating programs as a set of nested routines running independently and concurrently on three different control layers. Each layer focuses on only a particular portion of the overall call processing function thus allowing that portion to be written or presented in a substantially linear fashion. This linear presentation greatly reduces the complexity of development and maintenance of the software.

  • Patent number: 6071181
Abstract: A knife sharpening machine has sharpening and honing assemblies each having fixed and movable subassemblies with circular stones mounted on shafts, the stones being spaced from one another. An adjusting mechanism moves the movable subassemblies toward and away from the fixed subassemblies, from a position at which the stones interleave to one at which they are substantially tangent to one another. The movable subassemblies each includes a yoke in a free end of which the stone-carrying shaft is journaled for rotation. The yoke is pivoted on an axis of rotation. One gear is mounted on the axis of rotation of the yoke co-axially with the axis, driving a gear on the shaft of the subassembly carried by the yoke. A motor and gears of gear trains intermediate a pinion on the motor and the pivot gear are mounted on a plate mounted on a cast base/housing supporting the yoke.
