  • Publication number: 20120141252
Abstract: A wind driven turbine device is disclosed that includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a turbine rotor having a plurality of radially distributed turbine rotor blades mounted in the housing for rotation in direct response to atmospheric wind to thereby generate rotary power, a baffle arrangement is also provided for directing wind through the housing from the air inlet to contact the turbine rotor blades from a plurality of angles as internal driving wind.

  • Patent number: 8052372
Abstract: A wind driven turbine device is disclosed that includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a turbine rotor having a plurality of radially distributed turbine rotor blades mounted in the housing for rotation in direct response to atmospheric wind to thereby generate rotary power, a baffle arrangement is also provided for directing wind through the housing from the air inlet to contact the turbine rotor blades from behind as internal driving wind. The rotor is mounted in a manner such that the rotor blades are driven both by a combination of direct external wind and internally directed wind.

  • Patent number: 5170689
Abstract: A metal working machine (10) is disclosed according to the preferred form including a punching station (48) associated with a first crank arm (18) pivotably mounted to the frame (12) by a first pivot pin (20) and including multiple shearing stations (50a-e) associated with a second crank arm (26) pivotably mounted to the frame (12) by a second pivot pin (28). A link (36) has its opposite ends pivotably mounted by pivot pins (38, 40) to the first and second crank arms (18, 26), respectively. An expandable and contractable actuator (42) having its opposite ends pivotably mounted by pivot pins (44, 46) to the first and second crank arms (18, 26) simultaneously pivots the crank arms (18, 26) about the first and second pivot pins (20, 28) in opposite directions. The pivot pins (20, 28, 38, 40, 44, 46) are spaced from and parallel to each other.

  • Patent number: 4907481
Abstract: A latch mechanism in one position causes a ram and the punch mounted thereon to be forcefully actuated in unison with the pivotal arm constituting part of the drive means. In a second position of the latch mechanism, the ram, together with the punch, can be manually lowered without being powered so that an alignment of the die with the punch can be achieved before performing a powered punching operation.

  • Patent number: 4054075
Abstract: The shear mechanism includes two fixed plates and a plate movable therebetween. The movable plate has a notch in one side edge which is moved out of registry with notches in the fixed plate to effect a shearing operation, the movable plate having a blade associated with its notch and one of the fixed plates having a cooperable blade associated with its notch. The fixed plates each have two appropriately located circular holes in which are received a first pair of pins, the pins extending through slots in the movable plate so that the blade on the movable plate can move sufficiently relative to the blade on the fixed plate to perform its shearing operation. Offset from the slots in the movable plate are two appropriately located circular holes in which are received a second pair of pins, the second pair of pins extending through slots in the fixed plate of sufficient size so that the shearing action can take place.

  • Patent number: 3945287
Abstract: A metal plate shears for cutting large sheets of metal includes a fixed blade, and a movable blade cooperable therewith. The movable blade is mounted on a plate having a plurality of circular apertures therein. Discs are mounted in these apertures, the discs being eccentrically supported, the axes of the eccentrics being in the same angular relation to and the same angular relation from, the centers of the discs. Arms are secured to the discs, and hydraulic means are provided for rotating the discs about their eccentric axes. Rotation of the discs lowers the plate bearing the movable cutting knife past the fixed knife, shearing off a sheet inserted between the blades.
