  • Patent number: 11187362
Abstract: A connector assembly includes a first connector, a compression member, a retainer, and a second connector. The first connector includes a first coupling portion, a proximal opening, and an annular inner surface extending from the proximal opening. The compression member includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface is configured to sealingly engage the annular inner surface of the first connector. The retainer includes a ring portion and a plurality of teeth. The ring portion includes a proximal end and a distal end. Each of the plurality of teeth extends from the distal end and is configured to engage the compression member. The second connector includes a second coupling portion and an engagement surface. The second coupling portion is configured to engage the first coupling portion. The engagement surface is configured to engage the proximal end of the retainer.

  • Patent number: 6604687
Abstract: A thermal control valve provides more accurate control of the valve outlet temperature for a high flow rate valve in a low flow rate environment. The valve utilizes a thermal motor to close the valve during high temperature operation and includes flow-directing element that restricts the flow of water through the valve at low pressures and directs the flow of water toward the thermal motor. The flow-directing encircles the thermal motor and is formed from a flexible material so that it expands under pressure of water flowing through the valve.
