    Abstract: A pedal assembly is disclosed having a movable slide adapted to contact a kickdown feature and further adapted to overcome the kickdown feature upon application of additional force to result in a kickdown effect that may correspond to an engine kickdown. The movable slide may be adapted for frictional engagement with a body to impart a hysteresis effect as the slide moves relative to the body.
