  • Publication number: 20250252413
Abstract: A method for enabling a single digital product acquisition from an on-line media partner. The method includes: providing an interface system that is managing access to digital content of the on-line media partner through a paywall system; receiving, at the interface system, a request to access a portion of digital content from the on-line media partner from a user that is a non-subscriber of the on-line media partner; determining, by the interface system, if the user that is requesting access to the portion of digital content from the on-line media partner is a customer of the interface system; and in response to receiving sufficient tokens from the customer of the interface system to access the portion of digital content from the on-line media partner, enabling display of the portion of digital content from the on-line media partner to the customer of the interface system.

  • Publication number: 20250189684
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to dynamically monitoring radiation exposure of sensitive objects. In an illustrative example, a dynamic hazard visualization system may provide real time radiation exposure monitoring for medical personnel in an operation room. A dynamic hazard visualization system (e.g., DHVS), for example, may include a data store comprising a plurality of predetermined radiation intensity models. For example, the DHVS may receive at least one image received from a camera installed in the operation room. Based on the received image and one or more predetermined radiation intensity models, the DHVS may generate an inter-object properties data structure (e.g., IOPD) of the operation room. The DHVS may use the IOPS to generate, in real time, an instantaneous radiation intensity profile based on a dynamic geometry generated based on updated images received from the camera. Various embodiments may advantageously monitor radiation exposure of the medical personnel in real time.

  • Publication number: 20190076333
Abstract: A portable pill/tablet/capsule dispensing device. The device's purpose is to enhance the doctor/patient relationship by providing patient doses of medication as prescribed by physician. Since medications are consumed outside of the supervision of the prescribing entity, this device helps to affirm to the prescriber that medications are taken by the patient as prescribed, thus minimizing the potential for medical abuse. The device's body has 2 clam shell halves, ultrasonically welded together and therefore the contents inside the device are not accessible by the patient without proper authorization. The device uses a variety of disposable magazines, prefilled with medications to load into the device by an authorized medication provider. Medications within the device are regulated by a computer program which allows for variable time dosing of medication types according to the patient's needs.

  • Patent number: 8274793
Abstract: A heatsink mounting system (10) is provided for containing and engaging a heatsink (16) against a heat generating component, typically an IC chip (18). The system (10) is includes a rectangular integrally formed resilient frame (12) defining a cavity (26) in which the heatsink (16) is contained. The frame (12) includes a pair of opposed lateral sides (30) and a pair of opposing gripping sides (28) with L-shaped corner blocks (32) depending from the intersections thereof. The gripping sides (28) include centrally positioned grip handles (38) with curved handle posts (39) extending upward and grip blocks (34) depending therefrom, each grip block (34) having a grip tongue (36) at the lower extent thereof extending inward into the cavity (26). Inward pressure on the grip handles (38) forces the grip tongues (36) outward to release objects captured thereby.

  • Patent number: 7007811
Abstract: A multi-function workstation particularly adapted for use by a mechanic while working at the side or underneath a vehicle that is raised on a hydraulic lift. The workstation may be mounted to a wall or shaft near the periphery of the vehicle being worked on or, if possible, to the shaft of the hydraulic lift itself. Electric power and compressed air are supplied to the workstation where connections for electrical cords and compressed air are provided together with convenient supports for one or more compressed air driver devices. Located between a top and bottom section of the workstation that provide for electrical and compressed air access, respectively, are two middle sections comprising open-faced, removable boxes. The boxes contain supports of several types for holding tools or supplies used by a mechanic.

  • Patent number: 5418348
Abstract: An electron beam source assembly includes a water cooled crucible positioned substantially flush with the top of the block. A magnet is attached to each long sides of the rectangular block to establish parallel opposed pole magnets with the crucible therebetween. A smaller magnet is attached to each end of each longitudinal magnet to form a second and a third parallel magnet pair. The six magnets produce plano-convex magnetic field lines above the crucible, and additional plano-convex field lines of increased field strength extending outwardly from the end of the block having the four magnets. A magnetic base plate provides a low reluctance path to decrease magnetic flux at the crucible.
