  • Publication number: 20120076116
Abstract: A device for wireless communication, for example a WiMAX gateway, may include a control circuit comprising a wireless transceiver, an enclosure enclosing the control circuit, and a pair of antennas for wirelessly communicating with an external device via the wireless transceiver. The antennas may be mechanically coupled to an outside of the enclosure and electrically coupled to the control circuit, and may be collapsible to a stowed configuration to reduce the size of the device when the device is not in operation, and extendable to an operational configuration in which the antennas are spaced apart and are substantially parallel with each other. An interlock may disable operation of the device when the antennas are in the stowed configuration. The device may include a second antenna and transceiver, for example to provide WiFi connectivity.

  • Patent number: 7980190
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, apparatus, and system of a deep-draft semi-submersible hydrocarbon, such as for liquefied natural gas (LNG), floating production and storage vessel that can include a pontoon containing hydrocarbon tanks, fixed ballast at the bottom in a double-bottom portion, and segregated ballasted tanks with variable ballast located generally above the fixed ballast portion that can assist in keeping the pontoon submerged during various storage levels. Multiple vertical columnar supports can penetrate the pontoon from top to bottom and extend above the water surface to support a deck, including various topside structures. An intermediate double-deck on the top of the pontoon can provide access to the tanks, for example, through the vertical columnar supports. The double bottom structure, deck, and vertical columnar supports can provide overall structural integrity.

  • Patent number: 7914371
Abstract: A method for playing an extension game to an instant lottery game is disclosed. A player purchases an instant lottery game and wins a prize for the instant lottery game. The player is provided a chance to participate in the extension game of double-or-nothing. If the player chooses to participate in the extension game of double-or-nothing, the player tenders his winning ticket to a lottery retailer. The winning ticket is scanned by a lottery terminal and a result is generated for the extension game of double-or-nothing. If the winning ticket is also a winner of the extension game, the player doubles his winning. If the winning ticket is not a winner, the player forfeits his winning from the instant lottery game.

  • Patent number: 7885851
Abstract: A method for determining an optimal number of lottery retailers is disclosed. The optimal number of lottery retailers for a region can be determined based households of the same segmentations purchasing lottery products similarly, and there is a strong correlation between lottery agent density (population/retailers) and per capita lottery sales. The lottery agent density (LAD) necessary to produce high per capita sales can be identified and applied to all markets of that household segmentation.

  • Publication number: 20100257773
Abstract: An improved mousetrap has an upper jaw pivotally mounted with a lower jaw, and a bait platform mounted between the upper and lower jaws, The bait platform acts as a trigger to initiate jaw closure when depressed. A circumferential spring for closing the jaws around the bait platform encircles the jaws and is retained in a retaining groove of the lower jaw. The upper jaw has a rear, lower corner for retaining the spring when the jaws are open; and a rear, upper corner for retaining the spring when the jaws are closed. Contractile force of the spring pulls the spring from the lower corner toward the upper corner, to complete jaw closure.
