  • Patent number: 8805993
Abstract: A system and method for bulk data collection for multiple network elements is provided. The method includes initiating a session between a data collection server and a network server, maintaining a correlation between a plurality of queries and a corresponding plurality of network elements, and concurrently sending the plurality of queries over the initiated session to collect data from the network server.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 2, 2005
Date of Patent: August 12, 2014
    Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.
Inventors: Keith Cambron, Baofeng Jiang, Xidong Wu, Jim Otsuka
  • Publication number: 20090225672
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to detect wideband interference in digital subscriber line (DSL) systems are disclosed. An example method comprises retrieving a first plurality of performance parameters for a first time interval for respective ones of a plurality of DSL modems, wherein each of the plurality of DSL modems are associated with respective ones of a plurality of subscriber loops, and comparing each of the performance parameters to a threshold to determine whether two or more of the respective ones of the plurality of subscriber loops experienced respective performance degradations during the first time interval.

  • Publication number: 20050163286
Abstract: The present application discloses an automated digital subscriber line performance control system comprising a computer system including a logic module to evaluate performance of a plurality of DSL lines and to automatically select a set of DSL lines from the plurality of DSL lines, a line profile database responsive to the computer system, the line profile database providing a plurality of line profiles in response to a request from the computer system, and a digital subscriber line access multiplexer coupled to the computer system. The digital subscriber line access multiplexer is configured to measure a performance parameter of a plurality of physical DSL lines and to change a profile for at least one of the plurality of DSL lines. The set of DSL lines has degraded performance characteristics based on historical performance data.
