    Abstract: The present invention is a method for treating a fibrous material to control odor associated with deposits of organic matter. The present invention involves the steps of providing a fibrous material; applying an effective amount of an odor treatment solution which includes a bacteria splore blend wherein the solution has a pH within the range of 1 to 12. The invention also contemplates simultaneously applying an odor control agent and an anti-soil treatment to carpet fibers.
