Patent number: 10519008Abstract: A crane load centering assembly includes a crane that has a boom, a sheave that is rotatably coupled to the boom and a load block. A transmitting unit is coupled to the sheave having the transmitting unit being directed downwardly from the sheave. The transmitting unit transmits an alignment signal along a line that is vertically oriented. In this way the alignment signal can travel in the direction of the force of gravity with respect to the boom. A plurality of sensors is provided and each of the sensors is coupled to the load block such that each of the sensors is positioned below and is aligned with the transmitting unit. One of the sensors receives the alignment signal when the crane lifts a load and the load deflects from beneath the sheave. A plurality of light emitters is provided and each of the light emitters is coupled to the load block.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2018Date of Patent: December 31, 2019Inventor: Jim Riley

Patent number: 8662733Abstract: An LED night-light generally includes a standard night-light assembly for an incandescent light bulb retrofit with an LED. A housing has an interior surface defining a cylindrical opening. The interior surface has threads adapted to mate with a threaded end of the incandescent light bulb. First and second prongs extend out of the housing and are configured for insertion into an electrical outlet. A groove is in the interior surface of the housing. A disk is received in the groove and mounts the LED to the housing so that the standard night-light assembly is retrofit as an LED night-light.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2012Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Mary Elle FashionsInventors: Kenneth A. Howard, Jim Riley, Matthew S. Smith

Publication number: 20130275451Abstract: Systems and methods for contract assurance are disclosed. For example, one disclosed method includes the steps of receiving a document, the document including a keyword; determining a location of the keyword within the document; searching for a value associated with the keyword; responsive to identifying the value associated with the keyword, storing a location of the value; generating a template based on the location of the keyword and the location of the value; extracting the value from the document using the template; and responsive to extracting the value, storing and associating a label and the extracted value in a second document, the label associated with the keyword. Another disclosed embodiment includes program code for causing a processor to execute such a method.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2012Publication date: October 17, 2013Inventors: Christopher Scott Lewis, James B. Arnold, Jim Riley

Publication number: 20120266411Abstract: A door position detecting apparatus comprises a switch including a body having two electrical contacts and a through-channel. The through-channel of the switch receives a hinge pin inserted therethrough and further inserted into a door hinge. Two lever arms extend from the body. Each of the arms is attached to a respective one of the electrical contacts. The arms have a first position relative to each other wherein the contacts are electrically connected to each other, and a second position relative to each other wherein the contacts are electrically disconnected from each other. Biasing means biases the arms against a fixed door jamb and a rotatable door, respectively, such that one of the arms follows movement of the rotatable door from an open position of the door to a closed position of the door. Monitoring means monitors whether the contacts are electrically connected to each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2012Publication date: October 25, 2012Applicants: Robert Bosch GmbH, Bosch Security Systems, Inc.Inventors: JIM RILEY, STEVE MARKHAM

Patent number: 8215820Abstract: An LED night-light includes a housing with a threaded, cylindrical opening having an interior surface adapted to receive a threaded end of a light bulb. First and second prongs are supported in parallel by the housing. The prongs have interior ends extending into an interior of the housing and exterior ends extending out of the housing such that the exterior ends are configured to engage an electrical outlet. A disk is received in and supported by a groove in the interior surface. A light-emitting diode (LED) is mounted on the disk. The night-light further includes a circuit board including an LED driver circuit electrically connected to the LED. The driver circuit energizes the LED when the first and second prongs are plugged into an electrical outlet connected to a power source.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2009Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: Mary Elle FashionsInventors: Kenneth A. Patent number: 7795746Abstract: A method for providing power to a low current electronic device includes pivotably coupling a door to a door frame. A rotating member of an alternating current generator is coupled to either the edge surface of the door or the door-facing surface of the door frame. A stationary member of an alternating current generator is coupled to an other of the edge surface of the door and the door-facing surface of the door frame. The door is pivoted toward an open position to thereby rotate the rotating member and generate an alternating current. The door is pivoted toward a closed position to thereby rotate the rotating member and generate an alternating current.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2008Date of Patent: September 14, 2010Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Jim Riley, Steve Markham
