  • Publication number: 20060127360
Abstract: The present invention relates to peptides, polypeptides, and nucleic acids and the use of the peptide, polypeptide or nucleic acid in preventing and/or treating cancer. In particular, the invention relates to peptides and nucleic acid sequences encoding such peptides for use in diagnosing, treating, or preventing melanoma.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 3, 2004
    Publication date: June 15, 2006
Inventors: Neil Berinstein, Jim Tartaglia, Mark Parrington, Dennis Panicali, Linda Gritz
  • Publication number: 20030008280
Abstract: The present invention relates to the detection of the presence of reverse transcriptase enzymatic activity in eukaryotic cell lines. Specifically, the present invention comprises a method for discriminating between endogenous reverse transcriptase activity in a substrate cell line (e.g., avian) used as substrates for the manufacture of biological products (including viral vaccines) from exogenous infectious retrovirus by using a combination of transmissibility assay (viral replication) and PBRT assay (RT-PCR). Appropriate levels of viral amplification and number of PCR cycles are determined and employed that permit detection of exogenous infectious RT activity but not endogenous RT activity.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 9, 2002
    Publication date: January 9, 2003
Inventors: Scott Goebel, Maurice Harmon, Jim Tartaglia, William Lapps, Francois Pelloquin, Dennis W. Trent
