  • Publication number: 20150037103
Abstract: Tendon systems described herein may include a cellular tendon main body system having at least two essentially parallel pipe strings and may be used to moor a floating structure to a seabed. Hybrid tendon systems may include one or more tendon modules, where at least one tendon module includes a cellular tendon main body system. Where more than one module is used, the modules may be different types or designs of tendon systems, such as conventional single-string tendon or cellular tendon, according to the performance requirements of the module. Cellular tendon main body systems described herein enable the overall tendon, and subsequently the floating structure, to be used in ultra-deep waters and/or with heavy topsides.

  • Publication number: 20120109947
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to implementing a multi-tenant architecture in an analytics platform. In an embodiment, a computer system receives a user's login credentials at a multi-tenant system. The multi-tenant system includes multiple different tenants, each of which includes various users. The multi-tenant system includes multiple instantiated partition instances configured to store various types of analytics information for each tenant. The computer system determines which partition instance the user belongs to, so that analytics information collected for the user is stored in the determined partition instance. The computer system collects analytics information based on the user's interaction with the multi-tenant system and stores the collected analytics information in the determined partition instance. The multi-tenant system is also extended for implementation in a cloud computing system.

  • Patent number: 6154170
Abstract: The position, velocity, time (PVT) and attitude (ATT) measurement system including a Master GPS antenna and a plurality of Slave GPS antennas is disclosed. The system comprises a hardware PVT channel and a hardware ATT channel. After the Master GPS antenna is selected, the hardware PVT channel stays locked on the Master antenna during the measurement time thus optimizing the accuracy of the PVT data. The PVT channel performs the tracking of the visible GPS satellites and generates the tracking data and the PVT data. The ATT channel performs the attitude measurement using all Slave antennas and the PVT tracking data.

  • Patent number: 5123628
Abstract: A water saving valve is provided for attachment between a water supply pipe and a showerhead. The water saving valve has a spool fitted in a bore defined by first and second walls having first and second openings, respectively. The first and second walls separate the bore from a pipe passageway and a showerhead passageway, respectively. A circumferentially recessed groove is provided in a central portion of the spool, the recessed groove defined by a core which has a diameter approximately 80% of the diameter of the spool. The core has a valve passageway which, when the spool is fitted in the bore in a first portion, substantially horizontally aligns with the first and second openings to allow water to flow unrestricted therethrough. The spool may be rotated by a handle to different positions to regulate the quantity of water allowed to flow through the showerhead.
