  • Publication number: 20250086901
Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) system enables creation and viewing of AR content for sharing information relating to a physical environment. The AR content may be organized into procedures comprising a set of structured steps presented in an AR view of an environment. An application may track progress and provide various feedback as each step is performed. An analytics engine may track events of the AR device including user interactions and state data of the AR device (e.g., detected motion state, detected image-based features, etc.) during the course of executing a procedure. The analytics engine may perform various analytics such as detecting anomalies and generating various performance metrics, safety-based metrics, aggregations, and visual representations of statistical data relating to performance of the AR-guided procedures.

  • Publication number: 20250068290
Abstract: An AR system enables creation and viewing of AR content for sharing of information relating to a physical environment. The AR environment may include one or more virtual objects, which may be pinned to specific locations in the real-world physical environment. The virtual objects may provide information (or access to such information) relating to the object or region of interest. To create pinned virtual objects, the AR system maps a localized physical space and enables tracking of an AR device with respect to the mapped physical space. The AR device may then be physically positioned at the desired location in the physical space and a pinning action may be initiated to generate a pinned virtual object associated with the selected position.

  • Publication number: 20240395163
Abstract: A procedure generation system obtains multimedia content describing performance of a task and generates a procedure including content for guiding a user through performance of the task. The procedure generation system extracts audio data from the multimedia content and generates a transcription of the audio data through application of a trained model. The transcription includes text corresponding to the audio data and timestamps associated with different text. Based on the transcription, a trained model generates a set of steps, with each step including text corresponding to different time intervals. The procedure generation system identifies portions of the multimedia content corresponding to different steps based on the time intervals and associates identified portions of the multimedia content with corresponding steps to generate the procedure. This generates a procedure with various steps including text and a corresponding portion of the multimedia content.

  • Patent number: 11699268
Abstract: An extended reality (XR) system includes an extended reality application executing on a processor within the XR system. The XR system receives, via a client device, a selection of an extended reality (XR) object located within an XR environment. The XR system receives, via the client device, a request to move the selected XR object within the XR environment. The XR system calculates a first distance between a first feature of the XR object and a first plane associated with a first physical object within the XR environment. The XR system determines that the first distance is within a particular distance. In response to determining that the first distance is within the particular distance, the XR system positions the first feature within the XR environment such that the first feature is coplanar with the first plane.

The XR system receives, via the client device, a request to move the selected first XR object within the XR environment. The XR system calculates a distance between a first feature of the first XR object and a first plane associated with a second XR object within the XR environment. The XR system determines that the distance is within a particular distance. In response to determining that the distance is within the particular distance, the XR system positions the first feature within the XR environment such that the first feature is coplanar with the first plane.
