Publication number: 20240381853Abstract: The invention introduces a system for acquiring data on poultry body size, utilizing a baseplate for immobilization. After positioning the poultry, the system adjusts a fixing device on a rod to secure the poultry's knee joints using a fixing clip, thereby stabilizing the poultry's body. A 3D laser scanning lens then conducts comprehensive 3D scanning of the poultry's entire body, transmitting the data to a 3D microcomputer which generates an optimal dynamic model image. This microcomputer organizes and analyzes data from the model using a computer algorithm, ultimately displaying the poultry's body size indices on the 3D microcomputer's display. This method circumvents inaccuracies common with traditional tools like electronic scales, enhancing the speed and precision of poultry body composition data collection.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicants: Shandong Agricultural University, Shandong Center for Quality Control of Feed and Veterinary Drug, Shandong Hemeihua Nongmu Co., LtdInventors: Xianyao LI, Liangyu CHEN, Meng LIANG, Yanan ZHAO, Jiming LIU, Yuanmei WANG, Baishun MA, Liying LIU, Youzhi LI

Patent number: 8520909Abstract: A method for characterizing image contents automatically or semi-automatically using image acquisition parameters and metadata is presented. The method establishes probabilistic and deterministic relationships between different types of metadata and the semantic attributes and contents of images. It furnishes a mechanism that enables the automatic and semi-automatic classification, annotation, tagging, indexing, searching, identification or retrieval of images based on their contents, semantic properties and metadata characteristics. The method uses, but is not limited to, image capture metadata such as focal length, exposure time, relative aperture, flash information, ISO setting, angle of view, subject distance, timestamp, GPS information as well as other forms of metadata, including but not limited to, captions, keywords, headings, tags, comments, remarks, titles which may be automatically, semi-automatically, or manually generated.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2010Date of Patent: August 27, 2013Assignee: Hong Kong Baptist UniversityInventors: Clement Ho Cheung Leung, Chun Fan Wong, Jiming Liu

Patent number: 8489571Abstract: A method is disclosed for a search engine or part of a search engine which utilizes collective intelligence, evaluation, and judgment, including web intelligence, to create and adapt the content of a generalized index hierarchy for digital resources to be searched. Digital resources to be searched can be stored and managed as a localized or distributed repository of images, video, audio, graphical or other multimedia data objects, as well as structured composite items, services, programs, modules, files, documents, systems, applications, networked peers, and agents, which may be difficult or costly to be indexed. In particular embodiments the claimed invention focuses on the indexing of semantic contents and/or pragmatic characteristics of such digital resources. By tracking and analyzing the searching behavior of users, proxies, and/or meta-search-engines, a search index can be created, tuned, improved and optimized.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2009Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Hong Kong Baptist UniversityInventors: Clement Ho Cheung Leung, Jiming Liu
