  • Patent number: 10018514
Abstract: Cooktop temperature sensors and methods of operation are provided. An example cooktop appliance includes a cooktop element and a cooktop temperature sensor assembly. The cooktop temperature sensor assembly includes three springs providing support for a platform upon which a cooking vessel rests. The cooktop temperature sensor assembly includes a resistance temperature detector electrically connected to at least two of the three springs. The cooktop appliance includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include obtaining from the cooktop temperature sensor assembly a plurality of samples of a temperature. The operations include projecting a future temperature based at least in part on the plurality of samples of the temperature. The operations include controlling the cooktop element based at least in part on the projected future temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070248413
Abstract: A compaction wheel system and a method are provided. A support frame supports system components and can be coupled to a driver. At least first and second compaction wheels are each mounted in a separate axle assembly. The axle assemblies are each mounted to the support frame on linkage assemblies which vary the distance between the compaction wheels with angular displacement. Additionally, each linkage maintains its respective compaction wheel at an angle to continue compacting operations. An adjuster is provided to set the angular position of each linkage assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050117973
Abstract: A system for laying a pipe in a trench includes subsystems and performs a method. Grading is done on pipe bed material in a trench by a remotely controlled earth mover included in a first subsystem. Pipe sections are joined to a pipe by remote control by an operator or operators outside of the trench using the second subsystem. A pipe section is lifted by a first gripper on a transport assembly and lowered into the trench in alignment with the pipe. A second gripper on the transport assembly grasps an end of the pipe, and the first gripper moves axially to insert the pipe section into the pipe. The earth mover has a material-pushing blade mounted to the pivot arms in a manner to enable a single hydraulic actuator for each pivot arm to determine height and tilt of the blade.

  • Patent number: 6461010
Abstract: An oven light assembly includes a lens, a housing, a lamp base and a light bulb. The lens and housing protect the light bulb from the oven environment. The housing includes a rim having cantilever beams and louvers that engage flanged lips on an outer edge of the lens. Cantilever beams apply an upward force to maintain the flanged lips in the louvers. The housing maintains the lens properly positioned and allows removal of the lens without the use of tools.
