  • Patent number: 9213246
Abstract: An immersion lithographic apparatus typically includes a fluid handling system. The fluid handling system generally has a two-phase fluid extraction system configured to remove a mixture of gas and liquid from a given location. Because the extraction fluid comprises two phases, the pressure in the extraction system can vary. This pressure variation can be passed through the immersion liquid and cause inaccuracy in the exposure. To reduce the pressure fluctuation in the extraction system, a buffer chamber may be used. This buffer chamber may be connected to the fluid extraction system in order to provide a volume of gas which reduces pressure fluctuation. Alternatively or additionally, a flexible wall may be provided somewhere in the fluid extraction system. The flexible wall may change shape in response to a pressure change in the fluid extraction system. By changing shape, the flexible wall can help to reduce, or eliminate, the pressure fluctuation.

  • Patent number: 9208690
Abstract: A method for calculating a Time To Go value between a vehicle and an intruding object. First and second images of the object are retrieved at first and second points of time. A scaling factor is selected and the second image scaled with the scale factor. The scaled image is resampled to a set position. Correlation values are calculated between the first image and the resampled scaled image for different horizontal displacements and/or different vertical displacements for the resampled scaled image. A maximum correlation value is found based on the correlation values. Selecting the scaling factor, resampling, calculating the correlation values, and finding the maximum correlation values are repeated a second predetermined number of times. A largest maximum correlation value is found among the maximum correlation values and the scale factor associated with the largest maximum correlation value. The Time To Go is calculated based on the associated scale factor.

  • Publication number: 20150341618
Abstract: The technology disclosed can provide capabilities such as calibrating an imaging device based on images taken by device cameras of reflections of the device itself. Implementations exploit device components that are easily recognizable in the images, such as one or more light-emitting devices (LEDs) or other light sources to eliminate the need for specialized calibration hardware and can be accomplished, instead, with hardware readily available to a user of the device—the device itself and a reflecting surface, such as a computer screen. The user may hold the device near the screen under varying orientations and capture a series of images of the reflection with the device's cameras. These images are analyzed to determine camera parameters based on the known positions of the light sources. If the positions of the light sources themselves are subject to errors requiring calibration, they may be solved for as unknowns in the analysis.
