Abstract: A fastener tool assembly for installing breakaway torque nuts includes a socket having a first end attachable to a driver of a fastening tool. A second end of the socket operably engages a detachable wrenching ring of a breakaway torque nut. A window is formed in a sidewall of the socket, sized and configured to permit at least one wrenching ring to pass therethrough. A catch permits insertion of the wrenching ring into the socket, but prevents the detached wrenching ring from freely falling out of the open end of the socket. A sleeve associated with the window selectively permits passage of one or more detached wrenching rings through the window, or prevents passage of the detached wrenching rings therethrough.
