  • Patent number: 5146846
Abstract: A roller assembly for grain shellers, the assembly including a metal sleeve having locking lugs fixed therein, a sleeve of flexible material bonded to the exterior of the metal sleeve, the locking lugs being adapted for connection to a mounting hub, thereby to fix the metal sleeve to the mounting hub.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 1991
Date of Patent: September 15, 1992
    Assignee: F. H. Maloney Company
Inventors: Stanley M. Lee, Jimmy C. Terry, John A. Mrosko
  • Patent number: 5142784
Abstract: A method for making a roller sleeve assembly comprising providing a metal sleeve, fixing locking lugs to an interior surface of the metal sleeve, the locking lugs extending radially inwardly of the sleeve, and bonding a flexible sleeve to the exterior of the metal sleeve. The invention further contemplates a method for making a roller assembly comprising sliding the above-described sleeve assembly onto a hub comprising a circular wall with ribs extending normally therefrom, and fixing the locking lugs to the circular wall for locking the sleeve assembly onto the hub.

  • Patent number: 5110382
Abstract: A method for making a roller sleeve assembly comprising providing a metal sleeve, forming apertures extending radially through the sleeve, bonding a flexible sleeve to the exterior of the metal sleeve and permitting the flexible sleeve material to fill certain of the apertures. The invention further contemplates a method for making a roller assembly comprising sliding the above-described sleeve assembly onto a hub comprising a circular wall with ribs extending normally therefrom, and providing locking plates and cooperative pins for locking the sleeve assembly onto the hub, with the pins disposed partly in the locking plates and partly in other of the sleeve assembly apertures.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4584914
Abstract: A wrench for removing and installing cylindrical retainers, particular sight glass retainers comprises a base member, a guide member and a pair of projections. The base member has a planar stop surface on one axial end. The guide member is fixed to the base member and extends perpendicularly from the stop surface. The projections extend in opposite directions from the guide member parallel to and over the stop surface. When coupled to a sight glass retainer, the stop surface engages an exposed axial end portion of the retainer, the guide member engages the retainer inner cylindrical surface, and the projections are received within diametrically opposite recesses in the retainer end portion.
