Abstract: The present invention relates to novel, selective, radiolabelled compound having monoacylglycerol lipase (MGL) affinity which are useful for imaging and quantifying MGL receptor expression, distribution and enzyme occupancy in tissues, using positron-emission tomography (PET). The invention is also directed to compositions comprising such compounds, the use of such compounds and compositions for imaging a tissue, cells or a host, in vitro or in vivo and to precursors of said compounds.

Abstract: A microfabrication process includes: (1) etching a shield pattern into a substrate; (2) forming a set of shielding layers on the substrate and in the shield pattern, wherein the shielding layers include n+1 magnetic layers and n spacing layers, n is 0 or an integer that is 1 or greater than 1, and each spacing layer is disposed between a pair of magnetic layers; and (3) planarizing the substrate to expose edges of the shielding layers.

Abstract: A combined type AC/DC power supply includes a first circuit module containing a first printed circuit board (PCB), an AC power input circuit being set on the first PCB, a first structural portion of a detachable bobbin being set on the first PCB, a primary side winding being wound around the first structural portion of the detachable bobbin and electrically connected to the first PCB and the AC power input circuit, a second circuit module containing a second PCB, a DC power output circuit being set on the second PCB, a second structural portion of the detachable bobbin being set on the second PCB with a secondary side winding being wound around and electrically connected to the second PCB and the DC power output circuit, wherein the AC and the DC power output circuit are structurally connected through the first and the second structural portion of the detachable bobbin.

Abstract: One variation of a method for manipulating virtual objects within a virtual game environment includes: at a game console, initializing a first virtual game environment in an instance of a first electronic game; rendering a prompt to link a physical gamepiece to a virtual object within the first electronic game; in response to placement of a physical object over the display of the game console at a first time, accessing an unique identifier from the physical object, confirming permission to link the physical object to the virtual object based on the unique identifier and a characteristic of the virtual object, and linking the unique identifier to the virtual object; and, at a second time, detecting placement of the physical object at a second position over the display and rendering a graphical representation of the virtual object on a second region of the display coinciding with the second position.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting private browsing mode may include (1) determining that a browser application is operating as a foreground application on the computing device, (2) detecting computing activity occurring on the computing device while the browser is operating in the foreground, (3) determining that no new entry has been made in the browser's history, (4) in response to determining that no new entry has been made in the browser's history, incrementing a certainty level score that identifies a level of certainty that the browser is executing in private browsing mode, (5) determining that the certainty level score has exceeded a certainty threshold, indicating that the browser is likely to be executing in private browsing mode, and (6) performing a security action in response to determining that the browser is likely to be executing in private browsing mode. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques to promote messages in a social networking services to increase communication opportunities while throttling unsolicited messages are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may have a message generation component and a message delivery component. The message generation component may be operative to receive a request from a first member of a social networking service (SNS) to send a message for a second member of the SNS. The message delivery component may be operative to deliver the message to one of multiple mailboxes for the second member based on a tiered payment schedule. The tiered payment schedule may include a first parameter to represent a relationship type between the first and second members, a second parameter to represent a subscriber tier for the second member, and a third parameter to represent a promotional cost associated with the subscriber tier. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system is provided for introducing customers to local businesses using incentives such as free goods or services. The system employs a server having a database and network communications and software capable of communicating with one or a plurality of user computing devices including a desktop, laptop, pad device, and smartphone. The system also includes inducements to the customers to continually provide valuable feedback to the business by limiting and increasing the number of incentives a user may have based on the number and quality of the feedback each user provides. Because the identities of the users visiting the businesses are known, the system provides a means to insure more constructive feedback to the businesses who are aware their identity is known, as opposed to the current mode where anonymous feedback is communicated which may be less than honest or actually placed by a competitor.

Abstract: A method and system of for using existing bodies of water in buildings to reduce the cost of air conditioning is taught. Under the present invention, storage means such as water tanks for the emergency sprinkler system may be used to extend the useful temperature differential of thermal storage means beyond the typical 10° C. of the prior art for both heating and cooling. The present invention achieves these objectives while preserving the integrity and purpose of these existing bodies of water in buildings.

Each of the plurality of microelectronic structures is comprised of a metallic material, and ones of the plurality of metallic microelectronic structures are insulated from other ones of the plurality of microelectronic structures. An application of the method is for heat-treatment of resilient microstructures.
