  • Patent number: 11042753
Abstract: This invention includes a framework and method to enable the transformation of video content into a format that allows for mapping and, hence, identification of individual sections (scene segments or otherwise) of the media content. It includes a means of ingesting images and video frames into a database. Consumer products can be matched with the images and/or objects in the images. A consumer can access the content by submitting a digital image taken on a mobile device. One or more objects in the user submitted image can be matched with products and/or commercial/promotional materials.

  • Patent number: 10659649
Abstract: A toner container installable in an image forming device having a controller according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for storing toner. A chip is positioned on the housing and configured to receive a first write command from the controller of the image forming device. The chip is further configured to determine whether a transmission cycle bit of the first write command matches a transmission cycle bit of a second write command received by the chip from the controller of the image forming device previous to the first write command. The chip is further configured to resend to the controller of the image forming device a response to the second write command if the transmission cycle bit of the first write command matches the transmission cycle bit of the second write command.

  • Patent number: 10649702
Abstract: A toner container installable in an image forming device having a controller according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for storing toner. A chip is positioned on the housing and configured to, after sending a first busy response to the controller of the image forming device, receive a second write command from the controller of the image forming device that is abbreviated relative to a first write command received from the controller of the image forming device and that requests the chip to send a response to the first write command. The chip is further configured to send a response to the first write command to the controller of the image forming device if upon receiving a read command corresponding to the second write command the chip has completed processing the first write command.

  • Publication number: 20190394354
Abstract: A method of processing commands from a controller of an image forming device by a chip on supply item in the image forming device is described. A toner container installable in an image forming device having a controller according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for storing toner. A chip is positioned on the housing and configured to receive a first write command from the controller of the image forming device. The chip is further configured to determine whether a transmission cycle bit of the first write command matches a transmission cycle bit of a second write command received by the chip from the controller of the image forming device previous to the first write command. • Publication number: 20190339884
Abstract: An example component circuitry for a supply item including an example method for restricting read access to content in the component circuitry are disclosed. In the method, a command for reading data stored in a non-volatile portion of a memory of the supply item is received and depending upon whether the number of times that the command has been received exceeds a predetermined limit, processing the command. The component circuitry has a non-volatile memory and a processor, whereupon the encrypted data may be read from the non-volatile memory if the number of times that the command is received by the processor has not reached a predetermined limit.

  • Patent number: 8103712
Abstract: A method for performing a division operation in a system includes a) determining an approximate quotient of a numerator value and a denominator value; b) determining an initial error of the approximate quotient; c) determining a quotient adjustment value based on the initial error; d) determining whether to apply the quotient adjustment value to the approximate quotient; e) if the determination at d) is YES, then applying the quotient adjustment value to the approximate quotient; f) determining an iterative error of the approximate quotient; g) updating the quotient adjustment value based on the iterative error; h) repeating acts d) through g) until the determination at d) is NO, thereby determining a final value for the approximate quotient; i) generating an integer quotient based on the final value of the approximate quotient; and j) using the integer quotient with regard to at least one aspect of the system.
