  • Publication number: 20250101437
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method of identifying or producing an aptamer capable of binding to at least two target analyte variants, the method comprises generating a mixture of systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX)-selected aptamers by at least one-round of SELEX with a SELEX-compatible aptamer pool against the at least two target analyte variants in parallel or sequentially, sequencing the mixture of SELEX-selected aptamers that form complexes with each of the at least two target analyte variants by high-throughput sequencing, aligning the mixture of SELEX-selected aptamers that form complexes with each of the at least two target analyte variants by sequence alignment analysis, and identifying or producing the aptamer capable of binding to the at least two target analyte variants. Aptamers thereof and uses of the aptamers thereof are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230250430
Abstract: This disclosure relates to recognition moieties, biosensors, biosensor systems and kits thereof, and the methods for their use in detecting a target nucleic acid molecule in a test sample, including viral RNA and methods for determining whether a subject has a viral infection. The methods disclosed herein include detecting a viral infection in a subject comprising testing a sample from the subject for the presence of a target nucleic acid using a biosensor system, wherein presence of a target nucleic acid indicates that the subject has a viral infection.

  • Publication number: 20220317123
Abstract: This disclosure relates to DNAzymes and biosensors for detecting pathogenic bacteria, and in particular, for detecting Legionella pneumophila. This disclosure also provides a method for detecting the presence of Legionella pneumophila in a test sample, comprising: a) contacting said test sample with the DNAzyme or biosensor described herein, wherein the DNAzyme comprises a detectable label; b) allowing cleavage of the DNAzyme if a target is present, thereby releasing the detectable label; and c) measuring a detectable signal if the portion of the DNAzyme comprising the detectable label is released, wherein the RNA cleavage activity of the DNAzyme is activated by a target from Legionella pneumophila.
