  • Patent number: 5417366
Abstract: A collapsed carton tube comprising hingedly connected bottom, front, rear, cover, front flap wall panels, and a pair of end assemblies. The end assemblies include hingedly connected bottom, front, cover, rear, and front flap wall panel end flaps. The end flaps are moveable in the following order into a closed position over end portions of the tube. First, the bottom wall panel end flaps substantially close the tube end portions. Second, the front wall panel end flaps overlap a front portion of the bottom wall panel end flaps with a rear portion exposed. Third, the cover wall panel end flaps, including a recess in a rear lower corner thereof, overlap an upper portion of the front wall panel end flaps and an upper rear corner portion of the bottom wall panel end flaps, the recess leaving exposed an upper portion of the exposed rear portion of the bottom wall panel end flaps below the overlapped upper rear corner portion and rearwardly of the overlapped upper portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 5037026
Abstract: A carton erected from carton material in cut and scored blank form, the carton comprising a lower tray structure comprising a bottom wall having flap connected tray side walls folded upwardly from the bottom wall, and an easy-open easy-close cover structure having a top wall having flap connected cover side walls folded from the bottom wall including a corner wall extending from the top wall between two adjacent spaced apart end edges of two adjacent cover side walls within a plane extending at an angle with respect to the angularly related planes of the two adjacent cover side walls. The cover structure is retained in closed relation by an opening formed in the corner wall and tabs formed from a portion of carton material defining the tray structure at the interconnection of the two adjacent tray side walls.

  • Patent number: 4860886
Abstract: A display carton formed from a flat blank to include an integral display panel. The display panel is hingeable from an inoperative position below the removable top panel of the carton into an upright display position during which the deflectable corner portions of the display panel deflect around fixed corner portions of the top panel into overlying positions tending to maintain the display panel in the upright position.

  • Patent number: 4836364
Abstract: A strut improvement in an erectable carton of the shadow box type. The improved strut is provided from the carton material forming the carton blank which extends from a pair of corresponding non-common sides of two side-by-side panels which are retained in side-by-side relation as part of one pair of side-by-side panel structures when the blank is in a flattened preform condition. The strut includes a first end portion having an integral hinge connection with one of the two panels along the corresponding side thereof, a substantial central portion free of connnection with the corresponding sides of the two panels, and a second end portion having an integral hinge connection with the other of the two panels along the corresponding side thereof. The strut is folded along the hinge connections so as to bring the first end portion into surface-to-surface engagement with the one of the two panels and the second end portion into surface-to-surface engagement with the other of the two panels.

  • Patent number: 4813539
Abstract: A carton for a roll-type product which is dispensed by unrolling, withdrawing and separating a piece of the product from that remaining on the roll. The carton has a projection extending inwardly from each end wall, into the core of the product, to prevent the roll from being withdrawn from the carton during use. The end walls have an inner end flap with an orifice and an overlapping end flap with the projection hingedly attached to it and extending through the orifice. The projection has a central section which is generally triangular with the apex located distally of the hinge. Wing sections flank the central section and these are adapted to be folded back from the central section as the projection is inserted through the orifice, to form the projection into an open-sided generally pyramidal shape which is deflectable towards the product core following insertion.

  • Patent number: 4331238
Abstract: A fast food containing and serving device comprising a thin wall structure erected from a paperboard blank so as to be movable (1) from a tray defining position wherein the same can be stored in a stacked nested relationship with a multiplicity of similar thin wall structures into a closed container defining position wherein fast food or the like can be contained therein and (2) from the closed container defining position back into a tray defining position wherein the same can be used in serving the fast food or the like contained therein. The movement of the thin wall structure between the tray defining position and the closed container defining position is facilitated by a pair of spaced fold lines extending in the central portion of the flat bottom wall thereof between the central portions of the associated pair of side walls thereof and four cooperating fold lines in the central portions of each side wall.
