  • Patent number: 4363643
Abstract: A filter assembly in an air cleaner includes a lower wire-form adapted to receive two opposite ends of a pliable filter material. Spaced wires on the lower wire-form enable manual forming of pleats in the filter material and define the tops of such pleats. A complementary upper wire-form is engageable with the lower wire-form and attached filter to define the bottoms of such pleats.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 16, 1981
Date of Patent: December 14, 1982
    Assignee: Emerson Electric Co.
Inventors: Clifford B. Elbrader, Jimmy L. Milum
  • Patent number: 4290788
Abstract: A rigid cutout template is attached to the thin wall of a return air duct and suitably positions and supports an electrostatic air cleaner inserted into the duct through a cutout therein defined by the template. A power-pac and control box is secured elsewhere to the duct and includes high voltage power supply means, an air flow responsive switch and means visually indicating the existence of a power supply, the connection therewith of the electrostatic cell, and normal and abnormal current flow through the electrostatic cell.

  • Patent number: 4200909
Abstract: Components of a high voltage power supply are detachably mounted for replacement in predetermined positions in a rigid casing of dielectric material and arranged therein so as to provide the required intercomponent and component to casing electrical clearances for potential differences in excess of 600 volts.

  • Patent number: 4089661
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator having an ionizing section including a series of positively charged fine wires in equally spaced parallel relationship and a collector section including alternate positive and negative plates equally spaced and parallel with the ionizing wires and in which three negative plates of the collector section are extended into the ionizing section adjacent each wire to provide three electrostatic fields.
