  • Publication number: 20240153850
Abstract: A semiconductor device may include a plurality of transistors, with a first array of low-resistance material formed in a first dielectric layer, with a gate subset of the first array formed on a plurality of gate electrodes of the transistors, and a source subset of the first array formed on a plurality of source regions of the transistors. A second array of low-resistance material may be formed in a second dielectric layer, with a gate subset of the second array formed on the gate subset of the first array and thereby electrically connected to the plurality of gate electrodes, and a source subset of the second array formed on the source subset of the first array and thereby electrically connected to the plurality of source regions.

  • Patent number: 10554072
Abstract: A system and method of using light-energy to communicate with a packaged computing device is described. In some embodiments, an optical detector of the computing device stored in a container receives light energy through a light-transparent window of the container. In some embodiments, the light energy is used to charge a battery of the computing device while the computing device is in the container. In some embodiments, a pre-defined pattern of light pulses is used to transition the computing device between a sleep state and a wake state while the computing device is in the container.

  • Patent number: 9350009
Abstract: In an implementation, a battery package includes alternating electrodes. Each electrode includes a recessed region of electrode material layers that expose a conductive layer. Each electrode also includes openings within the electrode material layers and the conductive layer, where the openings are adjacent to the recessed regions. Multilayer electro-mechanical connectors couple exposed portions of the conductive layers of alternating electrodes to thereby electrically couple electrodes that have the same polarity. Each electrode is separated from an adjacent electrode by a separator layer. The multilayer electro-mechanical connectors can pierce the separator layers and thus, the separator layers do not require additional processing.

  • Publication number: 20120216414
Abstract: A chalk box assembly for providing an automated retracting chalk line comprising: a chalk box housing; a spring assembly within the housing; a spool for retaining a chalk line within the housing, where the spring assembly is attached to the spool and provides for the retraction of the chalk line; a chalk compartment within the housing, where chalk is stored within the chalk compartment; and a retraction button engaged with the spring assembly, where the button causes the release of the spring assembly for the retraction of the chalk line. The chalk box assembly according to the present invention may further include a chalk line guide and a chalk fill door. In one particular embodiment of the present invention, the chalk box assembly further includes a belt clip on one side thereof.

  • Patent number: 8044560
Abstract: The invention is a spark plug having multiple precise spark gaps (G} with a donut shaped electrode (20) attached to the firing end of the central electrode (32), as well as a cylindrical ground sleeve (40) that is pressed on to the primary shell (36) of the spark plug. The electrode donut (20) is generally flat and laded out in a radial direction towards the ground prongs (42) that protrude up towards the firing end from the ground sleeve (40). In conjunction with their structure, allow for the generation of a spark from every single ground prong (42) on the ground sleeve (40). This is spark potential area (G). Such multiple spark potential area along with the electrode donut (20) and ground sleeve (40) relation provides a more rapid and complete combustion of the air-fuel mixture within the internal combustion engine, which, in turn, results in more torque and more horse power.

  • Publication number: 20090159033
Abstract: The preferred embodiment according to the present invention is the use of a laser device to ignite fuel for the purpose of producing mechanical power. The laser replaces the spark plug in the internal combustion engine to ignite the air fuel mixture. The hot photons that is created by the laser is used in the same way as the electrons that is created by the spark plug, but the photons need no ionization path, there for the ignition is almost instantaneous.

  • Publication number: 20090072694
Abstract: Here in is disclosed a system of heat removal for the electrode part of a sparkplug that is used in the internal combustion engine. This is so as to use electrodes that have a very large mass as compared to the smaller, to very small electrodes, as in the case of using precious metals. Here in is further disclosed a sparkplug that is made using recycled parts from old used sparkplugs.

  • Publication number: 20070089683
Abstract: The furniture containing a cage for a pet animal provides an article of decorative furniture having a chamber for holding a pet animal, which may be covered by decorative furniture doors when not in use. A grated cage door is mounted to the furniture housing for selectively covering and sealing the front opening leading into the chamber. An opening is formed through a rear wall of the furniture housing, which is covered by a grated vent, providing airflow through the chamber for the pet animal. A removable tray, a water bottle or interior protective paneling may be optionally added to the chamber for the convenience and care of the pet animal.
