  • Publication number: 20080300883
Abstract: A projection apparatus with speech indication and a control method thereof are provided. The projection apparatus comprises a storage unit, a transmission interface, a process unit, and an output unit. The storage unit is configured to store a plurality of speech data. The transmission interface is configured to connect to an external apparatus for accessing the storage unit. The process unit is configured to select at least one of the speech data according to the present state of the projection apparatus. The output unit is configured to output the selected speech datum to broadcast the speech indication.

  • Publication number: 20080151128
Abstract: A projection apparatus comprises a receiver, a processor, and a frame projector. A sensor detects a horizontal position of a user in front of a screen and transmits a horizontal position signal. The receiver receives the horizontal position signal. The processor generates an on screen display (OSD), and superimposes the OSD onto a projection frame. The frame projector projects the superimposed frame onto the screen. During projection, the OSD covers the face of the user.

  • Publication number: 20080046749
Abstract: Apparatus and method for disabling an original password of an electronic device are provided. The apparatus comprises a message generator, an interface, and a processing unit. The message generator is configured to generate a message code. The interface is configured to receive an input password and communicate with the electronic device. The processing unit is configured to determine whether the input password corresponds to the message code and if so, to disable the original password. The method comprises the steps executed by the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070046829
Abstract: An apparatus for enhancing image contrast includes a micro-processor which presets a plurality of thresholds, such as a black threshold and a white threshold. When determining the brightness of an image is lower than the black threshold, the micro-processor decreases the illumination level of a light source. When determining the brightness of an image is higher than the white threshold, the micro-processor increases the illumination level of the light source. A method for enhancing image contrast includes the steps of receiving an image data; determining whether the brightness of an image is lower than the black threshold; if yes, decreasing the illumination level of the light source; determining whether the brightness of the image is higher than the white threshold; and if yes, increasing the illumination level of the light source.

  • Patent number: 6686973
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically correcting projection display of a projector. The disposition parameters including disposition distance (or horizontal inclination angle) and vertical inclination angle for the disposing surface are detected first. Whether the disposition distance (or horizontal inclination angle) and the vertical inclination angle are shifted from the predetermined standard values is determined by a control circuit. If the deviation occurs, a correction value according to the deviation is obtained from a look up table, and an input image signal is corrected with the correction value to obtain a corrected image projected on a screen.

  • Patent number: 6633341
Abstract: An intelligent luminance correction system is used in a vision system. The vision system has a video decoder, used to receive a video signal and decode the video signal into three basic components of red, green, and blue. A photodetector is used to detect the luminance of the current environment, so as to export a reference signal. A color correction circuit is used to receive the reference signal and the three component of RGB. The color correction circuit also stores a vision response curve at dark condition and a vision response curve at bright condition, so that the color correction circuit can determine one curve of the vision response curve at dark condition and a vision response curve at bright condition according to environment luminance indicated by the reference signal. The three components of RGB thereby are corrected individual. After correction, the color correction circuit exports the corrected three components of RGB to a display.
