Publication number: 20140276198Abstract: A pressure sensing catheter may include an elongate tubular catheter body having a first lumen extending longitudinally within the catheter body, and a second lumen extending longitudinally within the catheter body adjacent to the first lumen. Each of the first and second lumens may include proximal and distal end openings positioned at proximal and distal ends, respectively, of the catheter body. A tip portion may extend distally from the distal end of the catheter body and may include an outer wall and a tip lumen. The tip lumen may include a first and second end openings coupled to the distal end openings of the first and second lumens, respectively. The first lumen and the second lumen may be in fluid communication with one another through the tip lumen. The tip portion may be deformable in response to an external pressure applied to the outer wall of the tip portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2014Publication date: September 18, 2014Applicant: Cook Medical Technologies LLCInventors: Ronak Dunung, Jimmy Taylor

Patent number: 6418617Abstract: Fuel injectors, for hydraulically actuated fuel systems with complex seals so high pressure oil can be confined, are assembled in an engine head with a tool that fits with part of the injector. Tool posts have ends that fit in holes of a bracket. The posts are configured to provide clearance from part of the injector above the bracket. The tool drives the injector in place when a surface of the tool is stuck. After using the tool to drive an injector in place, fasteners to secure the injector to the head are inserted through the bracket holes.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2001Date of Patent: July 16, 2002Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventor: Jimmy A. Taylor

Patent number: 4991766Abstract: A process for manufacturing an improved flight assembly for a vertical centrifugal separator. e.g., of the type used to dry coal, is disclosed. The flights are first welded to the cone on which they are to be carried, then the outside edges of the flights are machined, for example on a vertical mill, after which a hard facing is applied to at least a portion of each flight. Preferably a stabilizing ring is welded to the bottoms of the flights before machining. A machining tolerance of plus or minus 1/64 inch (with respect to the gap between each flight and the surrounding conical screen with which the flight assembly is to be used) is preferred. The hard facing may be a weld having a hardness of at least about 40 Rockwell (C scale).Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1990Date of Patent: February 12, 1991Inventors: Joseph W. Hunnicutt, III., Jimmy Taylor, David L. Singleton

Patent number: 4961722Abstract: A vertical centrifugal separator, for example of the type used to dry coal, is improved by splitting the frustoconical screen into two pieces and including access doors in the water shield surrounding the screen. The division of the screen is made horizontally, for example at a level of about 30 to 70 percent down from the top of the screen. This permits the separator to be serviced in a relatively short time, by replacing only the upper partial screen when holes are worn in it. This is feasible because most of the wear in these screens is confined to about the upper 30 percent of their height. If a screen support basket is used, it can be confine to the lower partial screen, so that it does not have to be removed in order to replace the upper partial screen.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1989Date of Patent: October 9, 1990Assignee: Guyan Machinery Co.Inventors: Jimmy Taylor, David L. Singleton, Stanley A. Skeens, Dennis R. Runyon

Patent number: 4124974Abstract: A yarn friction false twist arrangement which includes a base plate having arranged thereon at least three equiangularly spaced shafts, each of which is provided with a plurality of axially spaced friction disks. The disks are arranged on the respective shafts and the base plate in an overlapping manner so as to define a path of travel for a strand of yarn. One of the shafts is fixedly connected with respect to the base plate and the other shafts are mounted so as to be displaceable with respect to the base plate with a device being provided for adjusting a position of one of the displaceably mounted shafts. An arrangement is provided at the base plate for securing the adjusting device in an adjusted position with a locking construction being provided for locking the adjusting device at the base plate.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1977Date of Patent: November 14, 1978Assignee: Akzona IncorporatedInventor: Jimmy Taylor
