Abstract: A fall-down alarm system includes a contact detection unit, a non-contact detection unit and a fall-down evaluation unit connecting respectively to the contact detection unit and non-contact detection unit. The contact detection unit and non-contact detection unit respectively detect an abnormal detected shape of an object and abnormal life symptoms of the object, and then the fall-down evaluation unit determines a fall-down condition and sends a trigger signal to request assistance. Through the contact detection unit and non-contact detection unit respectively detecting the shape and life symptoms of the object, the erroneous fall-down judgment can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20130231555
Abstract: An image guided surgery apparatus and system are provided. The image guided surgery system includes an image capturing system, an image scanner, a navigator, a surgical catheter and a surgical probe. The image capturing system has an elongated and flexible working tube for capturing a surface image, a structure image or a dynamic structure image of a tissue during the surgical catheter moving forward to the surgical part, thus determining the type and the structure of the tissue in the front-end of the surgical catheter. Therefore, whether a moving path of the surgical catheter is to at the correct position can be confirmed for reaching a correct surgical site. The surgical catheter assists the surgical probe directly reaching the optimal surgical site for performing a precise positioning surgery.

  • Publication number: 20130098162
Abstract: A pressure measurement member includes an insulation bottom layer, a flexible insulation top layer and at least one spacer. The insulation bottom layer has a bottom conductive element on the surface thereof. The flexible insulation top layer has a top conductive element on the surface thereof adjacent to the insulation bottom layer and opposite to the bottom conductive element. The spacer is located between the insulation bottom layer and flexible insulation top layer to separate the insulation bottom layer and flexible insulation top layer. As different pressures could result in different impedance variations on the contact area between the top conductive element and bottom conductive element, the pressure being applied can be derived from the impedance variation. The invention can measure pressure without using piezoresistive material to reduce cost.

  • Patent number: 7875479
Abstract: The present invention discloses an integration structure of a semiconductor circuit and microprobe sensing elements and a method for fabricating the same. In the method of the present invention, a semiconductor circuit is fabricated on one surface of a semiconductor substrate, and the other surface of the semiconductor substrate is etched to form a microprobe structure for detect physiological signals. Next, a deposition method is used to sequentially form an electrical isolated layer and an electrical conductive layer on the microprobes. Then, an electrical conductive material is used to electrically connect the electrical conductive layer with the electrical pads of the semiconductor circuit. Thus is achieved the integration of a semiconductor circuit and microprobe sensing elements in an identical semiconductor substrate with the problem of electric electrical isolated being solved simultaneously.
