  • Patent number: 11114890
Abstract: A DC uninterruptible power supply apparatus with bidirectional protection function receives a DC power source and supplies power to a DC load. The DC uninterruptible power supply apparatus includes a first loop, a second loop, a third loop, and a control unit. The first loop receives the DC power source and supplies power to the DC load. The second loop converts the DC power source into an energy-storing power source to charge an energy-storing unit. The energy-storing unit provides a backup power source to the DC load through the third loop and the first loop. The control unit controls the first loop, the second loop, and the third loop to correspondingly provide a first protection mechanism, a second protection mechanism, and a third protection mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20210132457
Abstract: A method to enhance retention times for electrochromic devices. In one embodiment, an electrochromic device described herein is formed having a multilayered electrolyte layer, rather than a single layer normally used in prior art electrochromic devices. The use of a multi-layered electrolyte layer helps minimize the deleterious effects of pinholes and other defects in the electrolyte layer and significantly improve the retention time for colored and/or bleached states in such electrochromic devices.

  • Publication number: 20070264903
Abstract: A riding device includes one or more cranks rotatably attached to a base, a rider support for supporting a rider having one or more arms movably engaged onto the cranks for allowing the arms of the rider support to be moved cyclically relative to the base by the cranks, and a driving device for driving the crank and the rider support to move cyclically relative to the base. The rider support may be moved relative to the base by the rider without the driving device to simulate horse riding exercises. The rider support includes a frame attached to the arms and engaged with the cranks for limiting the rider support to move relative to the cranks and for preventing the rider support from being disengaged from the base.

  • Publication number: 20050212245
Abstract: A cambering vehicle for human propelled transport comprises an elongate front column, first and second pivot axles at the front column, a first trailing arm pivotally attached to the first pivot axle, a second trailing arm pivotally attached to the second pivot axle, a front ski associated with the elongate front column, and, first and second rear skis associated with said first and second trailing arms. The first and second pivot axles may be inclined downward. Separately, a ski may be adapted for attachment to a conventional cambering vehicle having a front tube with a fork, where the ski comprises a surface having a rear section, mid-section, and front section, the surface being relatively flat at its rear section and mid-section, but curving upward at its front section, and an attachment mechanism for attachment to the fork.

  • Publication number: 20050113215
Abstract: A stepping exerciser includes a base having a seat, a follower rotatably attached to the base and having an axle and a shaft, two foot supports rotatably attached to the follower with the axle and rotatable up and down relative to the base, and rotatable relative to the base together with the follower. Two actuators are rotatably attached to the follower with the shaft and coupled to the foot supports, and each includes a pole for engaging with the seat of the base, to force the follower to rotate relative to the base when the actuators are caused to rotate relative to the shaft of the follower by the foot supports.

  • Publication number: 20050082778
Abstract: A cambering vehicle includes a front column, a left and a right trailing arm each having a front portion pivotally attached to the front column and a rear wheel. A link includes two ends coupled to the trailing arms and an intermediate portion coupled to the front column, to allow the trailing arms to be operated by the front column. The front column includes an extension coupled to the link. The link includes three resiliently supported barrels coupled to the trailing arms and the extension of the front column with pins respectively, to resiliently couple the trailing arms and the front column together.

  • Publication number: 20050043143
Abstract: A twist exerciser includes a platform rotatably supported on a base, and one or more rotary members rotatably supported in the platform to selectively support feet of users, and to allow the feet of the users to be rotated relative to the platform when the platform is rotated relative to the base. The rotary member may be rotatably supported on a seat of the platform with a pivot pin, and the platform may include a cover having one or more openings to receive the rotary members. One or more belts may apply a resistive force against the platform. A handle may be rotatably supported on the base and coupled to the platform.
