  • Patent number: 7837486
Abstract: An ejection device is manufactured independently from but implemented with a subscriber identification module (SIM) connector comprising an insulative housing and a tray having a SIM card mounted therein and has a bracket, a push button, a link and an ejection lever. The push button is mounted slidably on the bracket. The link is mounted slidably on the bracket and is connected with the push button. The ejection lever is mounted pivotally to the bracket, is connected with the link and selectively pushes the SIM card out of the tray. The ejection device may be pre-fabricated or formed with the connector so can be easily retrofitted to current designs or added simply to any SIM card connector and greatly facilitates SIM card removal while benefiting from reduced production costs from simplification and greater economies of scale.

  • Publication number: 20100064330
Abstract: The present invention relates a bidirectional signal transmission apparatus and method, wherein said apparatus comprises a processor unit connected in signal communication with an Ethernet, an RF modulation/demodulation unit, and an RF frequency conversion unit connected in signal communication with a coaxial cable network. The data signal input from the Ethernet is modulated into standard IEEE802.11 signal by means of said signal processing unit and RF modulation/demodulation unit, and then down-converted from 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz standard IEEE802.11 signal to a range of 500 MHz to 2000 MHz, and preferably to a range of 900 MHz to 1200 MHz. The bidirectional transmission apparatus further includes a frequency band selector for selecting different frequency bands so as to broaden the bandwidth of the signal and a real broad band data transmission is accomplished.

  • Publication number: 20100031303
Abstract: The present invention relates to a server used to transmit Ethernet data signals from an Ethernet network to multiple cable TV network clients or receive Ethernet data signals from the multiple cable TV network clients, the server comprising multiple APs (access points), wherein the APs synchronously start a downlink transmission or an uplink transmission, and wherein during the downlink transmission the APs convert the Ethernet data signals into encoded and modulated RF signals and transmit the encoded and modulated RF signals to the multiple cable TV network clients, and during the uplink transmission the encoded and modulated RF signals from the cable TV network clients and convert the encoded and modulated RF signals into the Ethernet data signals.

  • Publication number: 20090161687
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medium access control method for data communication through CATV access network over coaxial cable, wherein the method comprises transmitting downstream data frames from a central device to network terminals in downstream time slots of super frames and receiving upstream data frames from said network terminals to said central device in upstream time slots of the super frames over a same carrier frequency, said super frame being divided into multiple time slots comprising at least one downstream time slot intended for transmitting data frames, and one or more upstream time slots which are assigned respectively by said central device to said network terminals for transmitting upstream data frames, each one upstream time slot being allocable to one network terminal. Advantageously, the data is transmitted through a CATV access network over coaxial cable by using this access control method with guaranteed QoS.

  • Publication number: 20070128942
Abstract: A smart card connector with a holding structure is disclosed, the card connector comprises an insulative housing, a plurality of elastic terminals and a holding structure. The terminals and the insulative housing are insert-molded directly in a mold, all the terminals are disposed on the same side of the connector, then the holding structure is mounted on two sides of the insulative housing, thus an integral smart card connector is formed. When the card connector is assembled on a circuit board, firstly inserting the board lock of the holding structure into the circuit board to make the solder portion of the elastic terminal contacted with the circuit board, and then proceeding with the connector soldering operation, thus the smart card has better stability when the card is inserted in.

  • Patent number: 7220148
Abstract: A SIM card connector includes an insulative base including on its either side an L-shaped rear groove, a recess including a rear ramp, an intermediate protrusion, a tab between the rear ramp and the protrusion, and a front protuberance, and a front stop member; a cover including two side flanges each including a rear pin slidably fitted in and confined by the groove to form a pivot, rear and front gables, and an intermediate tongue; and conductors on a bottom of the base. Sliding the cover forward will interlock the cover and the base by moving either pin to a forward end of the groove with either rear fastening member being urged against the protuberance, either tongue being stopped by the protrusion, and either front fastening member being securely engaged with both the stop member and protuberance after passing the stop member.
