  • Patent number: 9838252
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for automatically configuring a gateway device through a mobile device, wherein the gateway device is installed with configuration software for connecting to a mobile device through a wireless communication unit thereof, and the mobile device is installed with automatic network connection software and configuration information. After activating the automatic network connection software, the mobile device reads the configuration information, searches for currently available wireless network device, establishes a peer-to-peer connection with the gateway device corresponding to the wireless network device whose Service Set Identifier (SSID) matches the SSID in the configuration information, and then activates the configuration software and sends the configuration information to the gateway device. Once the configuration software obtains the configuration information, a network connection configuration process of the gateway device is automatically completed.

  • Publication number: 20150180925
Abstract: A playing system and a plying method are provided. The playing system is selectively in communication with a portable device. The playing system includes a first playing device and a server. When the portable device is within a first detecting range corresponding to the first playing device, the first playing device is in communication with the portable device and issues a first playing request. The server is in communication with the first playing device for providing a multimedia stream. After the first playing request is received by the server, the multimedia stream is transmitted from the server to the first playing device, so that the multimedia stream is played by the first playing device.

  • Publication number: 20150125130
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method applicable to a player of a network video recorder for accelerating history playback and event locking, wherein the player decompresses a compressed file of recorded images when performing history playback of the recorded images, flags the resulting frames with “changed” or “unchanged”, depending on whether variation in image data traffic between the successive frames reaches a certain degree, and then sequentially plays the images of the successive frames on a monitor at different playing speeds which are set in the player and correspond to the successive “changed” and “unchanged” frames respectively. Thus, not only is the time required for history playback significantly shortened, but also a monitoring person is enabled to rapidly see, from among large amount of played back image data, the small number of images that demand attention and to greatly reduce the time, energy and effort required while monitoring.
