Patent number: 10141378Abstract: A light emitting device is disclosed, including a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and an organic light emitting layer sandwiched between the first and second electrode layers. The second electrode layer is patterned to form a plurality of electrode patterns arranged with different densities. The organic light emitting layer is subjected to a color separation process to form a plurality of monochromatic blocks that correspond to the electrode patterns, respectively. The electrode patterns are divided into a plurality of electrode pattern groups arranged in an alternate manner. The electrode pattern groups display a same image, and a same voltage is applied to the electrode pattern groups at a same time. Alternatively, the electrode pattern groups display different images, and a same or different voltages are applied to the electrode pattern groups at different times. As such, the light emitting device generates grayscale, full-color, three-dimensional or dynamic images.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2014Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTEInventors: Yi-Ping Lin, Jung-Yu Li, Guan-Yu Chen, Jin-Han Wu, Cheng-Hung Li, Shih-Pu Chen

Publication number: 20180175317Abstract: A light emitting element is disclosed. The light emitting element includes a substrate, a metal layer and a metal electrode stacked on the substrate, and an organic material layer formed between the metal layer and the metal electrode. The metal layer includes a metal film and a plurality of metal particles having a size ranging from 5 nm to 25 nm and spaced apart from the metal electrode at a distance ranging between 75 nm and 130 nm. The organic material layer can generate light having chromaticity within a first range. When a voltage is applied across the metal layer and the metal electrode, a plasmon coupling occurs between the metal layer and the metal electrode, such that the chromaticity of the light generated by the organic material layer can be shifted from the first range to a second range.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2017Publication date: June 21, 2018Inventors: Jung-Yu Li, Yi-Ping Lin, Guan-Yu Chen, Jin-Han Wu, Shih-Pu Chen

Publication number: 20170244060Abstract: A light emitting device includes an electrode layer, a first metal layer, an organic material layer and a second metal layer stacked sequentially. The first metal layer includes a first metal portion and a second metal portion separated from the first metal portion at a first lateral distance, and the first metal portion and the second metal portion have a first period. Patent number: 9704924Abstract: A light emitting device includes a substrate layer, first and second metal layers sequentially formed on the substrate layer, and an organic material layer formed between the first and second metal layers. The first metal layer has a uniform thickness or has metal portions or further has an open portion exposing a portion of the surface of the substrate layer. The organic material layer includes a hole transport material and an electron transport material in contact with one another. An interaction between the hole transport material and the electron transport material generates exciplexes capable of emitting light having a peak wavelength in a first range, and a coupling is generated between the first and second metal layers. By adjusting the distance between the first and second metal layers or the thickness of the first metal layer, the peak wavelength of the light is shifted to a second range and/or a third range.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2015Date of Patent: July 11, 2017Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Yi-Ping Lin, Jung-Yu Li, Guan-Yu Chen, Shih-Pu Chen, Jin-Han Wu, Cheng-Chang Chen

Patent number: 9413122Abstract: A modular jack has an insulative housing, two adjacent internal modules, and a middle shield disposed between the adjacent internal modules. The insulative housing has a front wall and a plurality of openings therein configured as pairs of first and second aligned openings, and a receptacle located behind the openings. Each opening is configured to receive a plug connector therein in a front-to-back direction. The middle shield extends towards a front wall of the insulative to define two module receiving cavities each receiving one internal module. The middle shield includes a conductive plate and an insulative sheet affixed thereto. The insulative sheet faces to the internal modules for insulation between the internal modules and the conductive plate. The insulative sheet is very thin that it occupies little space of the receptacle, thereby reducing a size of the modular jack.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: FOXCONN INTERCONNECT TECHNOLOGY LIMITEDInventors: Jin-Han Wu, Chih-Ching Hsu, Jun-Hua Hu, Huan Chen
