  • Publication number: 20100168061
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing enzymatically highly branched-amylose and amylopectin cluster. Alpha-glucanotransferase or branching enzyme hydrolyzes the linkage of the segment between amylopectin clusters in starch, producing amylopectin cluster, and simultaneously branching enzyme attaches the branched side-chain to amylose, producing branched amylose, and subsequently treating the amylopectin cluster or branched amylose with maltogenic amylase for cleaving long side chain into short side chain and for transferring glucose to the side chain, generating highly branched amylopectin cluster, highly branched amylose or branched oligosaccharide from starch effectively.

  • Publication number: 20100073914
Abstract: The light sourcing module of a backlit LCD display apparatus includes a light sources and power sources supporting substrate. The supporting substrate supports plural light sources on a top major surface thereof and at least one heat generating and power supplying circuit element that protrudes from a bottom major surface of the supporting substrate. The supporting substrate integrally includes wiring that couples driving power output by power supplying circuit element to the plural light sources. A rear receiving frame includes an integral heat-sinking and dissipating recess or groove that is positioned and dimensioned to receive the power supplying circuit element when the supporting substrate is received by the rear receiving frame. The integral heat-sinking and dissipating recess or groove removes heat from the heat generating and power supplying circuit element so that such heat does not adversely affect performance of the light sources.

  • Publication number: 20090117287
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for modification of microchannels of a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microchip, which includes the steps of: a) mixing an alkoxysilane precursor, an alkyl alkoxysilane precursor, and a solvent to prepare a sol-gel solution; b) oxidizing microchannels of the PDMS microchip; and c) coating the oxidized microchannels with the sol-gel solution prepared in step a). The PDMS microchip modified according to the method of the present invention shows higher hydrophilicity than an unmodified PDMS microchip. And, when the modified PDMS channels are filled with an organic solvent, channel swelling can be reduced, and thus various organic solvents can be used for the modified PDMS microchip compared to an unmodified PDMS microchip. Further, it can be widely applied for various fields because absorptivity of non-polar substances can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070171168
Abstract: A driving apparatus for a display device and display device having the driving apparatus. The display device has a plurality of pixels each having a switching element. The driving apparatus includes a gate line connected to the switching element, a gate driver to apply a gate signal having first to third voltages to the gate line, a first voltage generator to generate the first and third voltages, and a second voltage generator to generate the second voltage. The first and second voltages turn on the switching element, and the third voltage turns off the switching element. The second voltage is less than the first voltage. Thus, since the gate driver includes the second voltage generator to generate the second voltage and a plurality of transistors, and generates a gate output having a step shape, a kickback voltage is reduced and flicker is prevented.
