Patent number: 9472898Abstract: A small form factor pluggable connector with a locking and unlocking mechanism is disclosed. The locking and unlocking mechanism includes a torsion spring mounted on a base, an actuator rotatably mounted on a cover, a rotating member rotatably mounted on the cover and the base, and a fastening shaft inserting into a cylindrical spring body of the torsion spring and shaft holes of the cover and the base. When the locking and unlocking mechanism is in an initial state or a locking state, a hook of the rotating member protrudes from a top surface of a front portion of the cover, and a spring-pressing portion of the rotating member presses a horizontal pin of the torsion spring. When the locking and unlocking mechanism is in an unlocking state, a handle of the actuator need be lifted up.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2015Date of Patent: October 18, 2016Assignee: Teralux Technology Co., LTDInventors: Hsin Chih Yang, Wei Chen, Jin Hua Meng

Patent number: 9437971Abstract: A connector with a locking and unlocking mechanism is disclosed. The connector includes a case, a spring member and an unlocking member. The case includes a guiding groove, a narrow groove, a protrusion, a vertical stop wall and a latching groove. The spring member and the unlocking member are mounted the case. The unlocking member includes a guiding arm, a latching plate and a bending end. A vertical portion of the unlocking member is inserted between the spring member and the case. The guiding arm extends into the corresponding guiding groove. The latching plate enters into the latching groove. The bending end enters into the narrow groove and covers the protrusion. When a pulling portion is pulled back, the vertical portion compresses the spring member, the latching plate slides back along the latching groove, and the bending end moves back along the protrusion.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2015Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Assignee: Teralux Technology Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hsin Chih Yang, Le Yu, Jin Hua Meng

Patent number: 9423575Abstract: A small form-factor pluggable connector is disclosed. A locking and unlocking mechanism of the SFP connector includes a rotating member rotatable mounted on a cover, a fastening shaft pivoting the rotating member on the cover, a spring member providing an elastic force for locking and unlocking, an actuator slideably mounted on the cover, and an U-shaped connecting member connecting the rotating member and the actuator. The spring member is located under a latching arm of the rotating member. When the latching arm is forced to rotate downward under an external force, the spring member is compressed. When the external force is removed, the spring member can be restored to its original state and push the latching arm upward. The SFP connector of the present invention is easy to be operated and can efficiently realize the locking and unlocking functions.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2015Date of Patent: August 23, 2016Assignee: Teralux Technology Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hsin Chih Yang, Wei Chen, Jin Hua Meng
