Abstract: An electronic device may include an interface unit, and a processor for storing information related to a plurality of broadcast channels that can be received through the interface unit, receiving a user input for selecting a channel number, identifying, on the basis of the stored information related to the plurality of broadcast channels, a broadcast standard corresponding to the selected channel number if a broadcast signal of a channel corresponding to the channel number selected according to the user input is not received, processing the frequency band of the broadcast signal corresponding to the selected channel number according to the identified broadcast standard, and controlling so that the stored information related to the plurality of broadcast channels is updated according to a processing result.

Abstract: A client device displays user interface elements on a display device such as a screen. At least some of the user interface elements have an associated coloration. An input device of the client device detects a user input intended to modify the coloration of a user interface element. The user interface displays a preview reticule in response to an initial user input and moves the displayed preview reticule in response to a transitional user input. The preview reticule displays a spatial arrangement of colorations for selection. The selected coloration corresponds to a coloration at a predefined point in the preview reticule. A terminal user input completes selection of the coloration and hides the preview reticule. The interface may then display the user interface element in the selected coloration. The interface may also display the user interface element transitioning in coloration as the preview reticule moves.

Abstract: A message generated at a sender device is received at a messaging server via a network. The message is transmitted to a recipient device, where it is displayed in a modified format at least partly obscuring content of the message. A command is received from the sender device to unsend the transmitted message after transmitting the message to the recipient device. The messaging server determines whether the message has been displayed in an unobscured form at the recipient device, and, responsive to the message not having been displayed in the unobscured form at the recipient device, transmits a command to the recipient device to delete the message at the recipient device.

Abstract: A client device displays user interface elements on a display device such as a screen. The user interface elements have a configuration including a size. An input device of the client device detects a gesture motion intended to modify the size of a subset of the user interface elements in a composing region of the screen. The gesture motion includes at least one gesture object (e.g., a finger, a stylus) contacting the composing region of the screen, moving across the screen while maintaining contact with the screen, and detaching from the screen after moving across the screen. In response to the gesture motion, the client device determines an updated configuration including an updated size for the subset of user interface elements. The subset of user interface elements is displayed in their updated configuration.
