  • Publication number: 20080266282
Abstract: A light emitting display includes a substrate, a pixel area, a first power source line to supply a first power signal to each pixel on a first side of the pixel area, a second power source line to supply the first power signal to each pixel on a second side of the pixel area, and an impedance compensator for compensating a difference in a voltage drop between the first power source line and the second power source line. A voltage drop caused by line resistance that depends on the length of the first and second power source line that supply the first power signal to a lower and upper side of a pixel area, respectively, is equalized, thereby minimizing the voltage drop of the first power signal supplied to all pixels, and minimizing non-uniformity of brightness due to the voltage drop differences at each pixel.

  • Publication number: 20080204375
Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device, including a pixel unit including a plurality of pixels connected to scan lines and data lines, a scan driver adapted to generate and supply scan signals to the scan lines, a data driver adapted to generate and supply data signals to the data lines, an optical sensor adapted to generate an optical sensor signal to correspond to an intensity of light, and a data conversion unit adapted to compare a predetermined reference value with the optical sensor signal so as to generate a selection signal for selecting one of at least three modes. The data conversion unit may be adapted to store an input image data or a changing data changed from the input image data to correspond with the selection signal. The data driver may generate the data signals to correspond to the input image data or the changing data stored in the data conversion unit.

  • Patent number: 7304655
Abstract: An image display apparatus with pixels where each of the pixels has a light emitting element such as an organic EL (electro-luminescence) element. The brightness of the light emitting element is controlled by the current flowing in the light emitting element. The image display apparatus adjusts the amplitude of the white gray levels in accordance with average brightness of a screen displayed by RGB data.

  • Publication number: 20050231124
Abstract: A stacked structure of a display device is capable of preventing conductive noise due to signal interference by isolating analog and digital output stages and a ground stage onto different layers. A driving device of an organic light emitting display has a scan driver for applying a plurality of scan signals, a data driver for applying a plurality of data signals, and a controller for providing a gradation voltage to the data driver and a scan signal to the scan driver. The stacked structure includes a ground layer, an analog signal-transmission layer for transmitting an analog signal, a digital signal-transmission layer for transmitting a digital signal and a power supply transmission layer for transmitting a power supply voltage. Each of the layers is formed on a different layer. Further, the stacked structure further includes a first mounting layer at a front of the structure on which circuits are mounted and a second mounting layer at a rear thereof on which circuits are mounted.
