  • Patent number: 8894860
Abstract: A Gallium-68 (Ga-68) radioisotope generator includes a generating column and a citrate eluent. The generating column is at least partially filled with an ion-exchange resin with glucamine groups to absorb germanium-68 (Ge-68) and Ga-68 radioisotopes. The citrate eluent is added into the generating column to desorb the Ga-68 radioisotope and form an eluent containing the Ga-68 radioisotope in the form of Ga-68 citrate. A method for generating Ga-68 radioisotope is also disclosed.

    Inventors: Ming-Hsin Li, Jin-Jenn Lin, Ther-Jen Ting, I-Lea Dai
  • Patent number: 8802014
Abstract: The invention is related a novel structure for Ga-68 radionuclide generator. It allows two washing solutions to pass through two Ge-68 absorbents to wash out different chemical forms of Ga-68 nuclide. The invention comprises the first method that will withdraw hydrochloric acid solution from the washing bottle and pass it through inorganic resin absorbing column to produce the radioisotope solution of Ga-68 gallium chloride, and the second method that will allow the radioisotope solution of Ga-68 gallium citrate to pass the organic resin absorbing column and then the silica-gel cartridge, and be washed by the hydrochloric acid solution to obtain the radioisotope solution of Ga-68 gallium chloride.

  • Patent number: 8367811
Abstract: A radioactive material containing chitosan for inhibiting cancer and a preparation method thereof are revealed. The adioactive material containing chitosan is formed by using SOCTA chelating agent to connect chitosan and radionuclides such as 188Re, and Tc-99m etc. The preparation method of the radioactive material containing chitosan includes the steps of: prepare SOCTA-Chitosan compound; and prepare M(radionuclide)-SOCTA-Chitosan compound. By biocompatibility and clotting in alkaline environment of human blood of chitosan, the radioactive material containing chitosan is injected into cancer and staying there for a long time so as to achieve effectively treatment.
