  • Patent number: 7573848
Abstract: An apparatus and method for switching a voice codec of a mobile communication terminal are disclosed. The mobile communication terminal includes various types of voice codecs, and when the terminal requests a voice call between different types of communication systems, the communication network provides information on a type of the voice codec of a destination terminal to the terminal. Then, the terminal selects a voice codec corresponding to the information on the type of the voice codec of the destination terminal and transmits/receives voice data to/from the destination terminal through the selected voice codec. Thus, a transcoding process does not need to be performed on the voice data between the origination terminal and the destination terminal, and accordingly, voice quality can be enhanced, a delay of a voice transfer can be reduced, and a load of the communication network can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7263118
Abstract: An interference canceller is herein disclosed wherein a baseband signal is input to a detector's fingers, and the fingers detect multi-path signals and estimate the baseband signal's channel. An MRC uses the finger's despread signal and the channel estimate to output a soft bit decision value, while a signal regenerator uses a hard bit decision value and the finger's channel estimate to regenerate the baseband signal. An SIR measurer uses a soft bit decision value and a despreader's channel estimate to measure an SIR. A signal selector compares each detector's SIR measurement value with a target SIR, and when the SIR measurement value is greater than the target SIR, it selects the detector's regeneration signal to group received signals. A subtractor subtracts the regeneration signal from the baseband signal.

  • Patent number: 7150602
Abstract: A variable capacity rotary compressor including first and second compression chambers having different capacities, and a rotating shaft. First and second eccentric cams are mounted to the rotating shaft to be eccentric in a same direction. First and second eccentric bushes are fitted over the first and second eccentric cams to make an angle between eccentric lines of the first and second eccentric bushes be less than 180°. A locking pin functions to change a position of the first or second eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. Further, a slot is formed on the rotating shaft between the first and second eccentric bushes. In this case, the slot having a predetermined length is formed to have a same angle as the angle between the eccentric lines of the first and second eccentric bushes. The locking pin is inserted into the slot.
