    Abstract: The large-sized CRISPR Cas proteins have hindered the effective use of CRISPR-mediated gene editing in human therapeutics due to the lack of delivery strategies for these large-sized proteins to reach their target locations. As the use of highly targeted medicine increases, health care related business and individuals seek additional ways to more efficiently develop personalized medicine. CRISPR technologies revolutionized the gene therapy field in the past decade. AI-based tools to optimize the size of Cas proteins as well as developed gene-editing tools of experimentally-validated artificial-designed mini-Cas proteins were developed; thereby, shifting the paradigm of CRISPR research field from searching for new Cas proteins in nature to designing artificial Cas using AI algorithms.

    Abstract: A piperazine substituted phenol derivative and its applications in pharmaceutical chemistry are provided. The compound, depicted by formula I, exhibits excellent salt formation properties and water solubility, meeting formulation requirements. It also has a low minimum effective anesthetic dose, enabling rapid onset and recovery. This addresses the drawbacks of propofol and ciprofol prodrugs and lipid emulsions. The compound shows promise in developing drugs with sedative, hypnotic, and/or anesthetic effects, as well as in drugs for controlling status epilepticus.

    Abstract: It discloses a method for emergency remediating halogenated organic polluted site(s), by constructing a microelectric field driven bioelectrochemical system of engineering bacteria and auxiliary agent(s). The micro-electric field has cast iron electrode or copper zinc biochar electrode as the anode and plastic electrode as the cathode. The copper zinc biochar is produced by enriching copper, zinc in situ in watercanna, and then pyrolysizing, efficient improving electron transfer capability. By staged replacement of electrodes, showering engineering bacteria and auxiliary agents onto site(s), the sintered iron-rich biochar, which enriches iron in an iris, mediates extracellular electron transport of engineering bacteria and promotes the process of reducing dehalogenation of persistent halogenated organic pollutants. The present invention is particularly pronounced for emergency remediation and treatment of halogenated organic pollutants at halogenated contaminated sites with removal rates of more than 95%.

A thermal activation renders the dry fabricated electrode comparable to conventional slurry casted electrodes. The dry electrode mixture results from a combination of a plurality of types of constituent particles, including at least an active charge material and a binder, and typically a conductive material such as carbon. The process heats the deposited mixture to a moderate temperature for activating the binder for adhering the mixture to the substrate, and compresses the deposited mixture to a thickness for achieving an electrical sufficiency of the compressed, deposited mixture as a charge material in a lithium-ion battery. In order to increase the bonding between the current collector and charge materials, an adhesive interlayer is applied through dry printing.
