Publication number: 20240095467Abstract: Translating applications to a target language includes extracting program integrated information (PII) to be translated and creating translation context datasets based on interpretation of accessibility information associated with particular strings of PII. Translation pairs include PII and corresponding context datasets for context-based translation of application components. A two-stage index contains PII strings for first stage lookup and context datasets for distinguishing duplicate PII strings as a second stage lookup. Real-time translation is facilitated by the two-stage index, which is established by translation pairs and resulting translations.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2022Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: CHIH-YUAN LIN, Jin Shi, Shu-Chih Chen, PEI-YI LIN, Chao Yuan Huang

Publication number: 20240069912Abstract: A method for identifying hard-coded strings in source code is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method parses source code and associated localization resource files to identify hard-coded strings and their associated context. The method provides a confidence score for each hard-coded string that indicates whether the hard-coded string is translatable or non-translatable. Based on the confidence score for each hard-coded string, the method transforms each hard-coded string into a single equivalence word. The method then prepares training data by tagging the hard-coded strings in the source code and associated localization resource files as one of translatable and non-translatable. The method then trains a parts-of-speech (POS) tagging model using the training data. At runtime, the method fetches potential hard-coded strings and tags each hard-coded string as one of translatable and non-translatable using the POS tagging model. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Jin Shi, Chih-Yuan Lin, Shu-Chih Chen, Pei-Yi Lin, Chao Yuan Huang

Patent number: 9698499Abstract: A wire clamp connector includes a connecting board, a plurality of conductive sheets, a plurality of conductive mounts, and a plurality of wire clamp components. The conductive sheets are disposed at one surface of the connecting board. The conductive mounts are disposed at the top of the connecting board and connected to the conductive sheets. The wire clamp components are disposed at the respective conductive mounts. Each of the wire clamp components includes a lock member and a clamping piece. The lock member pushes the clamping piece to push against a wire, so that the wire can be firmly positioned with the corresponding conductive mount. Furthermore, the wire clamp connector may be applied to the wall mount component so as to be mounted on a wall and connected to an electronic product.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2016Date of Patent: July 4, 2017Assignee: Advanced-Connectek Inc.Inventors: Jin-Shi Chen, Pin-Yuan Hou

Publication number: 20030194076Abstract: The present invention comprises methods for efficiently identifying international outbound calls, in the telecommunications network (TN) of the outgoing country, which should be screened as possibly requiring processing according to a Global Virtual Network Service (GVNS), as opposed to conventional international long distance (ILD) call processing. In particular, the present invention is directed to outbound international GVNS calls, known as “on-net,” which are from-one GVNS location to another GVNS location of the same customer. International calls that are not Outbound International GVNS On-net calls, referred to as Other ILD calls, include at least three types: standard ILD, non-GVNS data and international GVNS off-net calls. Standard ILD, non-GVNS data calls and international GVNS off-net calls all have a routing number which comprises a country code (CC) followed by a national number (NN).Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2003Publication date: October 16, 2003Inventors: John Carl Brown, Jin-Shi Chen, Ron Lo, Eldred James Visser

Patent number: 5392344Abstract: The routing of calls of different classes of services as well as the administration thereof is enhanced by associating each such class of service with a number of parameters common to such services, such that each class of service, as well as a new class of service, may be readily identified by its respective parameter values. Accordingly, the routing and administration of calls of different classes of services may be handled in a systematic, straight forward manner so that basic network capabilities may be made available to various services using an administratively defined menu like structure. In addition, such class of service advantageously partitions network bandwidth allocation, call routing priority, voice/data transport, and traffic data registers into respective classes of services.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1991Date of Patent: February 21, 1995Assignee: AT&T Corp.Inventors: Gerald R. Patent number: 5101451Abstract: An arrangement for routing calls from a source switch to a destination switch in a telecommunications network. If a direct trunk is available between the two switches, that trunk is used. Otherwise, the destination switch is queried to obtain availability data of trunks to that switch from intermediate switches of the network. This availability data is then compared with availability data of trunks from the source switch to the intermediate switches. A route is then selected using an intermediate switch having available trunks from the source switch and to the destination switch. If a route using lightly loaded trunk groups is available, that route is selected in preference to the use of a route using more heavily loaded trunk groups. Advantageously, routing is performed to dynamically optimize selection of a route based on the current state of the network.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1990Date of Patent: March 31, 1992Assignee: AT&T Bell LaboratoriesInventors: Gerald R. Patent number: 5086460Abstract: A communications network is arranged so that an external switching office is connected to the network via multiple ingress/egress nodes such that an originating node which receives a call destined for the external office may route the call through the network to one of the ingress/egress nodes in accordance with a particular class (type) of routing specified in one of a number of routing treatments. Such routing treatments are associated with the external office and at least identify respective ones of the ingress/egress nodes connected to the external office.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1990Date of Patent: February 4, 1992Assignee: AT&T Bell LaboratoriesInventors: Gerald R.
