    Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a digital broadcasting system for transmitting and receiving an Electronic Service Guide (ESG). When there are ESG fragments to be transmitted through a communication network among ESG fragments included in ESG data, a digital broadcast transmitter generates an ESG data session such that the ESG data session may include route information through the communication network of the relevant ESG fragments. Then, the digital broadcast transmitter transmits the generated ESG data session to a broadcast receiving terminal, which obtains the route information through the communication network of the relevant ESG fragments. Accordingly, a user can more easily and conveniently receive the ESG data by using the route information through the communication network obtained by the broadcast receiving terminal.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a prismatic battery having an electrode assembly mounted in a prismatic battery case, wherein an electrolyte injection hole formed in a base plate mounted to an open upper end of the battery case is constructed such that an inside upper end of the electrolyte injection hole is formed in a downward taper (incline) structure, and a metal ball is forcibly inserted into the electrolyte injection hole such that the metal ball is plastically deformed to seal the electrolyte injection hole. The prismatic battery according to the present invention provides high coupling force between the metal ball and the electrolyte injection hole due to the plastic deformation and forced insertion of the metal ball and high sealability of the electrolyte injection hole. Also, the formation of a groove at the upper end of the forcibly inserted metal ball and the generation of cracks at the interface between the metal ball and the inside surface of the electrolyte injection hole are effectively prevented.

    Abstract: A method is disclosed for efficiently receiving Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data for a Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) broadcast service in a DVB-H reception terminal. When ESG data to which session partitioning rules are applied is received in a multiple-stream mode, session-by-session rules are detected. On the basis of the rules, sessions in which actual ESG data is carried are classified by roles required to provide the broadcast service. The associated ESG data from the sessions is acquired and stored. Since ESG data can be efficiently received by providing detailed guidelines for receiving the ESG data based on a session partitioning rule, a reception scheme of the DVB-H reception terminal can be significantly improved.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system and a method for efficiently dividing a session into several sessions to forward the classified sessions during the transmission of ESG data in a DVB-H broadcasting service. For this, when there is a large amount of the ESG data, sessions during which an actual ESG data is carried are assigned suitable roles needed to perform a broadcasting service, and are then forwarded. On this, a variation of important information of a channel is specified as a reconfiguration session, which is then able to be transmitted. A terminal receives the reconfiguration session to acquire information to be varied, and previously prepares for the variation of the service. With this, since the terminal can gain access to a required ESG data session optionally as occasion demands, the effectiveness of a data receiving scheme of the terminal is greatly improved and service interruption is minimized.

There is presented a method for dividing ESG data into basic data and additional data and for separately providing the data, wherein the basic data is necessary to provide a DVB-H broadcasting service. To separately provide the basic data from the additional data, a service provider forwards, during a basic profile session, only the basic data necessary to provide a broadcasting service, and separately forwards additional data during an advanced profile session including additional and high-grade data. Then, a terminal determines if a profiling is set up. If the profiling is set up, the terminal gets access to the basic profile session to acquire the basic data, and deals with the advanced profile session as a background job.
