  • Publication number: 20120157025
Abstract: A method for scanning a channel in a broadcast receiver is provided. In the method, a broadcast area corresponding to a current position is derived from a database (DB). When a valid channel list for the derived broadcast area exists in the DB is determined, broadcasting using the information of the valid channel list. However, when the valid channel list for the derived broadcast area does not exist, a search for a channel for the derived broadcast area is initiated.

  • Patent number: 8021993
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. A first robot arm at a loading side of the thru-conveyor receives a substrate coated with photoresist and conveys the substrate to a thru-conveyor. A softbake hot plate (SHP) at the unloading side of the thru-conveyor removes solvent from the substrate. A cool plate lowers the substrate temperature from which the solvent is removed. A buffer temporarily stores the substrate having the lowered temperature. A second robot arm between the thru-conveyor, the SHP, the cool plate and a loading side of the buffer, loads/unloads the substrate. A temperature control unit adjusts the substrate temperature unloaded from the buffer. A third robot arm between the unloading side of the buffer, the temperature control unit and an exposure unit that exposes the substrate, loads/unloads the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20040115114
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method of manufacturing single-walled carbon nanotubes comprising the steps of providing on a substrate at least one pillar comprising alternate layers of a first precursor material comprising fullerene molecules and a second precursor material comprising a catalyst, and heating the at least one pillar. It further is directed to a precursor arrangement for manufacturing single-walled carbon nanotubes comprising on a substrate at least one pillar comprising alternate layers of a first precursor material comprising fullerene molecules and a second precursor material comprising a catalyst. A third aspect is a nanotube arrangement comprising a substrate and thereupon at least one crystal comprising a bundle of single-walled carbon nanotubes with essentially identical orientation and structure.

  • Patent number: 6681276
Abstract: A memory card player, designed to reproduce a variety of digital audio data files from a memory card, is disclosed. Such data files are downloaded by a computer through the Internet or through a PC communication network and are transferred from the computer to the memory card. In an embodiment, the memory card player is integrated with a conventional cassette player, thus selectively playing a cassette tape or a memory card. This player is thus thin, and so it is convenient to a user while carrying it. The memory card player installs one or more memory cards at the same time, thus having a large memory capacity. In the player, a deck body, having a cassette playing unit, is provided with an openable door. A memory card holder is set on the interior surface of the door and holds a memory card. Each of the holders has a plurality of contact terminals for coming into contact with the memory card.

  • Patent number: 5801774
Abstract: A camcorder includes a detachable viewfinder assembly to enable more convenient and comfortable viewing of a viewfinder. The viewfinder assembly includes a support plate, a strap body, and a viewfinder rotatably connected to the strap body. According to the present invention, one of the viewfinder and the strap body is fixedly connected to the support plate. The support plate is preferably mounted so as to be rotatable relative to the camcorder. The viewfinder is preferably an LCD display. The strap body may also be provided with a handstrap, which offers an alternative means for a user to hold the camcorder. The viewfinder according to the present invention may therefore be laterally movable and tiltably movable.
