    Abstract: The present disclosure provides apparatus and method for blind-spot monitoring of vehicle based on rear camera. A blind spot view monitoring apparatus, for a vehicle based on a rear camera, may include an image acquisition unit, a control unit and a display unit. The image acquisition unit is configured to obtain a rear image from a rear camera mounted on a vehicle. The control unit is configured to set a region of interest in the rear image based on a turn signal or a lane departure signal of the vehicle, to determine whether there is a risk of proximity of an object in the region of interest to the vehicle, and to generate a blind spot image based on whether there is the risk of proximity. The display unit is configured to display the blind spot image.
