    Abstract: A method of generating customizable goal representation is disclosed. A request from a user to view a goal representation is received. A flexible goal ontology is accessed that comprises one or more goal entities, one or more goal relationships between the goal entities, or one or more goal properties, the one or more goal properties including one or more metadata attributes relating to the one or more goal entities. A set of mapping rules is obtained that defines mappings between one or more goals. The set of mapping rules is evaluated to assemble a customized goal representation tailored to the user. The customized goal representation is updated based on a revaluation of the mapping rules affected by changes to the one or more goal entities, the one or more goal relationships, or the one or more properties.

The streaming data comprises wavelength and intensity data associated with the sensors. The method comprises determining, for a particular fiber, whether a number of the peak readings is the same as, or differs from, an expected number, N, where N corresponds to a total number of sensors of the particular fiber. The method also comprises correcting anomalous streaming data in response to determining that the number of the peak readings differs from the expected number, N. The method further comprises storing nominal wavelength and intensity streaming data and the corrected wavelength and intensity streaming data in a structured data table indexed by fiber ID and sensor ID.

A processor is operatively coupled to the sensor network. The processor is configured to receive the strain measurements from the network of optical sensors, calculate total strain energy using the received strain measurements, detect a heavy load on the structure in response to the total strain energy exceeding a total strain energy threshold developed for the structure, and determine whether the heavy load results from a superload vehicle or the environmental event. A transmitter is operatively coupled to the processor and configured to transmit one or both of an alert and a condition assessment report for the structure to a predetermined location in response to determining that the heavy load results from the superload vehicle or the environmental event.

    Abstract: An electrode active layer is disclosed that includes a network of high aspect ratio carbon elements (e.g., carbon nanotubes, carbon nanotube bundles, graphene flakes, or the like) that provides a highly electrically conductive scaffold that entangles or enmeshes the active material, thereby supporting the layer. A surface treatment can be applied to the high aspect ratio carbon elements to promote adhesion to the active material and any underlying electrode layers improving the overall cohesion and mechanical stability of the active layer. This surface treatment forms only a thin (in some cases even monomolecular) layer on the network, leaving the large void spaces that are free of any bulk binder material and so may instead be filled with active material. The resulting active layer may be formed with excellent mechanical stability even at large thickness and high active material mass loading.

In response to determining that the zone is subject to abnormal air pollution emission in the first time period, a second set of features characterizing air condition in the zone is obtained. A future second time period in which the zone is subject to abnormal air pollution emission is determined based on the second set of features and using a second prediction classifier. The second time period is included in the first time period. In this way, the abnormal air pollution emission in the zone can be accurately and efficiently predicted.
