    Abstract: A device for winding conical yarn packages, particularly in textile machines with a constant yarn delivery speed, which eliminates the difference between the yarn delivery speed and the yarn winding speed by using a prolate spheroid drive means for the yarn package. The drive means is supported on a common shaft by means of a tilting joint and a carrier there being a swinging actuator associated with at least one end face of the drive means, the swinging motion of the actuator taking place within a plane passing through the axis of the common shaft.
