  • Publication number: 20170084178
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for formulating lane level routing plans. In general, aspects of the invention are used in motorized vehicles to guide a driver to a terminal vehicle configuration according to a lane level routing plan that balances travel time with routing plan robustness. A lane level routing plan can be based on terminal guidance conditions (e.g., exiting a highway in the correct off ramp lane), statistical patterns of lanes themselves, current vehicle state, and state of the local environment near the vehicle. Lane level routing plans can be communicated to the driver with audio, visual, and/or haptic cues. Lane level routing plans can be revised online and in (essentially) real-time in response to changing conditions in the local environment (e.g., a trailing vehicle in a neighboring lane has decided to increase speed).

  • Patent number: 9598076
Abstract: A controller for an autonomous vehicle received audio streams from one or more microphones and one or more image streams from one or more cameras. The audio streams are processed to identify audio features that potentially correspond to a motorcycle. The video streams are likewise processed to identify image objects that have movement and/or visual attributes corresponding to a motorcycle. The audio features and image objects are correlated. If a correlation is identified among the audio features and image objects, then a potentially lane-splitting motorcycle may be determined to be proximate. Actions may be taken to avoid collision with the lane-splitting motorcycle, such as avoiding lane changes, signaling longer, or performing lane changes more slowly.

  • Publication number: 20170061826
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems pertaining to in-vehicle tutorials are described. A method may involve receiving a request for an in-vehicle tutorial of an operational feature of a vehicle from a user and simulating expected driving behavior corresponding to the operational feature in the vehicle. The method may further include monitoring operational behavior of the user, comparing the operational behavior with the expected driving behavior, and providing a feedback to the user based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20170059335
Abstract: Methods, devices and apparatuses pertaining to identifying the candidate road segments for autonomous operations are described. A method may involve obtaining data of a first plurality of road segments that are permitted for one or more autonomous operations. The method may further include generating a road segment template based on the data of the first plurality of road segments, and reconstructing a second plurality of road segments based on the road segment template to obtain a plurality of reconstructed road segments.

  • Publication number: 20170057521
Abstract: Methods, devices and apparatuses pertaining to aberrant driver classification and reporting are described. A method may involve receiving a message from a user of a first vehicle, the message indicating an instance of aberrant driving of a second vehicle. The method may also involve determining that the instance has occurred using one or more classifiers. The method may further involve collecting information of the second vehicle and generating a warning message based on the information.

  • Publication number: 20160364531
Abstract: A Physician Study Manager may be a centralized or de-centralized data management system for medical industries, such as the sleep medicine and wellness industry. The manager may be administered by a web portal and offered as a software service. Data may be collected from relevant stakeholders of the sleep medicine and wellness industries in coordination with capable medical diagnostic equipment. The manager may improve medical care coordination by automating the workflow of medical processes in addition to improving a patient's treatment through streamlined data visualization and processing, record retainage, and diagnostic reporting. The manager may manage the needs of everyone involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of sleep related conditions by providing access to patient information. Users may generate diagnostic and therapy reports, and transmit them to external entities, such as insurance or medical equipment providers, directly from the manager.

  • Publication number: 20160210383
Abstract: A computing device includes a processing circuit and a data storage medium, and is programmed to receive a user input representing a vehicle control action associated with operating a virtual vehicle in a virtual environment, virtually navigate the virtual vehicle through the virtual environment according to the vehicle control action, collect virtual sensor data, and process the virtual sensor data collected.

  • Publication number: 20160000382
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described for physiological monitoring, for example monitoring EEG signals to detect the onset or probability of adverse events. The systems, devices and methods discussed herein may monitor received EEG signals to identify trends or patterns in the signal that are either indicative of ongoing seizures or indicative of a future risk of seizure. The systems, devices and methods provide the user with increased control and flexibility in the monitoring processes that produce the alerts. In particular, in some implementations the physician is able to make adjustments during monitoring and customize the process by which EEG data is displayed and analyzed during the patient monitoring without pausing the monitoring to make the adjustments.
