    Abstract: The preparation method of electrolytes provided by the present invention involves applications of a first solid oxide powder and a second solid oxide powder, both of which are prepared by using a sol-gel process and a calcination process. Each of the first and second solid oxide powders is a Perovskite-type oxide. After the first and second solid oxide powders are readily mixed, they are compressed into a pellet and then sintered to prepare the afore-mentioned electrolytes for SOFC. It is found in the present invention that by mixing and compressing different solid oxide powders, the solid oxide powder having smaller particle size can fill into the gaps of the other solid oxide powder. After the pellet is sintered, the density of the product is significantly improved.

    Abstract: A continuous micro anode guided electroplating device and a method thereof are revealed. By real-time image monitoring and capillary action of the micro/nanoscale tube, a three-dimensional microstructure is deposited on a workpiece at the cathode. The deposit is growing smoothly under the real-time image monitoring. Moreover, the workpiece is not immersed in an electrolyte so that contaminations of the workpiece caused by electrolyte are reduced.

    Abstract: An aluminum-scandium (Al—Sc) alloy film applied to vehicle lamps and a manufacturing method thereof are revealed. The Al—Sc alloy film contains a trace of scandium so that both temperature for grain refinement and temperature for recrystallization of the film are increased. This results in a fine and smooth surface of the Al—Sc alloy film and the Al—Sc alloy film has better optical reflectivity. Moreover, the Al—Sc alloy film has high recrystallization temperature and high adhesion strength. After high temperature annealing treatment, the Al—Sc alloy film still has higher corrosion resistance.

The porous material initially separates two solutions that are different in concentration of the substance. The concentration gradient gives rise to diffusion through the porous material, The concentration change of the substance in the low-concentration compartment is detected through a measurement of the electrochemical impedance data. By means of the measurement, an effective diffusivity coefficient of the substance through the porous material is calculated.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method for an isothermal evaporation casting process is disclosed and to design the manufacturing method for the simple atmospheric casting. The present invention can melt the Mg—Ni alloy with the aspect of totally different melting points thereof, and the other elements can be added during melting simultaneously. Through the Mg—Ni alloy with a suitable weight ratio, the eutectic alloy of Mg/Mg2Ni and high purified ?-phase Mg2Ni can be made. Then adding other elements are to produce the composition of Mg/Ni/M. By way of the manufacturing method of the present invention, the melting equipment is simplified; and, through different manufacturing steps, the purposes of time-saving and low cost are reached; further that, a large amount of the eutectic alloy of Mg/Mg2Ni with different kinds of ratios of Mg, high purified ?-phase Mg2Ni, or the composition of Mg/Ni/M can be obtained.

    Abstract: A cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) magnetic film electrodeposited on the surface of an aluminum alloy. A process for making an aluminum alloy electrodeposited a cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) magnetic film comprises the steps of chemically polishing an aluminum alloy substrate, pretreating either with phosphate or with zincate and electrodepositing in a plating bath containing cobalt and chromium ions to prepare the cobalt-chromium thin film on the aluminum alloy. Chromium content in the film can be designed by adjusting the parameters of pretreatment and electroplating. The produced cobalt-chromium film can flexibly adjust the magnetic characteristics (e.g. coercive force (Hc) and ramanence magnetization (Mr)) and is suitable for use in a magnetic recorder. The chemical composition, adhesion, microhardness, magnetic properties of the deposits indicate that the Co-Cr films produced are satisfactory for magnetic recording service.
