  • Publication number: 20170126779
Abstract: Example implementations relate to determining variable chunk size for transfer of a file. For example, a system for determining variable chunk size for transfer of a file may include an available memory engine to determine an amount of available memory in a receiving server, where the receiving server is to receive a transferred file greater than a threshold size from a sending server, a raw chunk size engine to determine a raw chunk size for transfer of the file based on the available memory of the receiving server and a memory usage ratio for the receiving server, and a variable chunk size engine to determine a variable chunk size for transfer of the file based on the raw chunk size and a memory storage integer limitation of the receiving server. The system may further include a transfer engine to cause a transfer of the file from the sending server to the receiving server using the variable chunk size.

  • Patent number: 9636025
Abstract: Diffuse optical flow (DOF) sensors can be used to assess deep tissue flow. DOF sensors positioned on a foot can provide fluctuating light intensity data to an analyzer, which can then determine absolute and/or relative blood flow. The determined absolute and/or relative blood flow can be signaled to an operator, for example a surgeon for intra-operative use. DOF sensors may be utilized to assess pedal revascularization, for example to guide interventional procedures and to evaluate their efficacy. A support structure can carry a plurality of DOF sensors, such that when the support structure is placed onto a patient's foot, the DOF sensors are disposed adjacent different locations on the foot. The different locations may correspond to different topographical regions of the foot, for example different pedal angiosomes.

  • Patent number: 9576054
Abstract: A search method is disclosed. In the method, a data rewriting system obtains, from a database, one or more search term candidates that are relevant to a present search term. The data rewriting system retrieves properties of the present search term and the one or more search term candidates, where the properties describe respective matching results of the present search term and the one or more search term candidates. Based on the matching results, the data rewriting system determines whether the present search term needs to be rewritten, and rewrites the present search term based on the matching results to provide a rewritten present search term in response to determining that the present search term needs to be rewritten. A search engine performs a search based on the rewritten present search term.

  • Patent number: 9317550
Abstract: The present disclosure provides example query expansion methods and systems. A query input by a user is received. A normalized query of the query is determined according to the query. The normalized query is used as an expansion term of the query to implement query expansion. For example, session information in a search log of the user is obtained. All queries appearing in a single session are obtained and a number of votes for each query is calculated or counted. A vote similarity between a single query and a target query is determined and a correlation degree between the single query and the target query is determined according to the vote similarity. A normalized query of the target query is determined according to the correlation degree. The present techniques accurately expand queries and reduce query times, thereby improving system response speed and processing efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20140241590
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of determining particle size and a computer-readable medium storing instructions to execute such a method are presented. The method entails obtaining an image of at least one particle and a calibration mark, wherein the particle and the calibration mark were captured using the same lens, correcting the image for distortion effects to generate a corrected image, wherein the same correction factor is applied to both the particle and the calibration mark, and determining a size of the particle using the corrected image. The method may be useful for obtaining the target size of coffee grounds that will produce the desired flavor. Coffee grounds may be sprinkled on a surface with the calibration mark and imaged with the calibration mark such that the correction factor for the calibration mark can be used to determine the particle size range of the coffee grounds.

  • Publication number: 20140206980
Abstract: Blood flow rates can be calculated using diffuse speckle contrast analysis in spatial and time domains. In the spatial domain analysis, a multi-pixel image sensor can be used to detect a spatial distribution of speckles in a sample caused by diffusion of light from a coherent light source that is blurred due to the movement of scatterers within the sample (e.g., red blood cells moving within a tissue sample). Statistical analysis of the spatial distribution can be used to calculate blood flow. In the time domain analysis, a slow counter can be used to obtain time-series fluctuations in light intensity in a sample caused by diffusion of light in the sample that is smoothened due to the movement of scatterers. Statistical analysis of the time-series data can be used to calculate blood flow.
