The data may be based on input data processed using overlapping FFT windows, and an amount of overlap between the FFT windows may be configurable by the transmitter or the receiver. An apparatus receiving the downlink transmission comprising data based on a single carrier waveform may process the data based on overlapping FFT windows.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently signaling configurations of physical resources and transmission parameters to a user equipment (UE) for small data transmissions (for example, data transmissions in an inactive or idle state). A base station may broadcast or multicast downlink control information (DCI) in one or more control channels that schedules data transmissions in a set of data channels. The base station may then multicast one or more configurations in each of the data channels, and a UE may decode one of the data channels to determine a configuration for a small data transmission. Because the configurations may be transmitted in the data channels in addition to system information or paging information, a base station may have access to sufficient resources to provide suitable configurations to a UE for communications in an inactive or idle state.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for low density parity check (LDPC) interleaving with improved error floor performance. A method for wireless communications that may be provided by a transmitting device is provided. The method generally includes encoding one or more information bits using a LDPC code to produce a coded bit sequence comprising systematic bits and parity bits. The transmitting device stores the coded bit sequence in a circular buffer. The transmitting device performs rate matching on the coded bit sequence. The rate matching includes interleaving the parity bits with a partial interleaver and interleaving the systematic bits and interleaved parity bits with a systematic bit priority mapping (SBPM) interleaver. The transmitting device maps the SBPM interleaved bit sequence to constellation points according to a modulation scheme and transmits the modulated bit sequence.

In some cases, the UE may determine if the RACH preamble occasion, the uplink data occasion, or both are restricted for cancellation based on the message. The UE may determine when to monitor a downlink control channel for dynamic scheduling based on determining which occasions are restricted for cancellation and may transmit a RACH message based on monitoring—or not monitoring—the downlink control channel for dynamic scheduling preempting a RACH occasion.     Abstract: Flexible waveform synthesis is disclosed for new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) networks. In order to accommodate variable transmission resources, a transmitter may construct an M×N grid to model a resource element (RE) map of transmission resources available to the transmitter within a shared communication channel, where M corresponds to a number of symbols for a scheduled physical signal and N corresponds to a number of tones of a transmission bandwidth for the transmitter. The transmitter may then map the M×N grid to the RE map and puncture one or more REs associated with the subbands unavailable for transmission in the transmission resources. The transmitter may then transmit a transmission according to the unpunctured REs of the RE map.
