    Abstract: Apparatus and method are provided for remediating trichloroethylene-polluting soils by integrated rotated migration and PRB. The apparatus includes a device of electrokinetic remediation, a PRB and a device of injection of surface active agents. The main components of the device of electrokinetic remediation and PRB include cathode, anode, electrode chamber and PRB. A liquid injection pipe is installed between various electrodes and PRBs. The operation of each device is controlled by each control system. The disclosure integrated rotated migration and PRB for remediating contaminants. Surface active agents is helpful for dispersing TCE from soil. The arrangement of the electrode and the PRB greatly shortens distances and time of pollutant migration, which accelerate the speed of remediation and reduce post-processing procedures. In the process of treatment, the three technical methods promote each other, and have the advantages of good repair effect, short time, no secondary pollution and easy operation.

Some embodiments include simulating downhole stall conditions via selectively engaging and disengaging a second motor and flywheel to vary rotational torque applied to the test coupon. The spring is positioned between the connecting member and the fixing base. The spring is compressed when the driving member drives the cutter away from the fixing base to machine the workpiece, and the spring restores to bring the cutter back toward the fixing base after the machining.

    Abstract: A retrofit lamp is for use with a fluorescence lighting ballast. The retrofit lamp comprises a filament emulation circuit. A detection circuit detects (at least) if a connected ballast is an instant start electronic ballast or an electromagnetic ballast by detecting a potentially existing heating voltage across the filament emulation circuit. In response, an LED arrangement may be connected in a series configuration (for an instant start electronic ballast) or in a parallel configuration (for an electromagnetic ballast). In this way, the output power is managed to ensure efficient operation. A different pin safety function may also be provided in the different configurations.
