Abstract: Methods of treating a portion of skin are disclosed. A carbon lotion is applied to a portion of skin comprising one or more enlarged pores or one or more indicators of aging. The carbon lotion is allowed to remain on the portion of skin for a period of time, and, upon expiration of the period of time, excess carbon lotion is removed from the portion of skin. The portion of skin is irradiated with one or more first laser pulses and one or more second laser pulses. A laser producing the first and second laser pulses has an oscillation wavelength of 1064 nm.

Abstract: A method and a system for evaluating data. The method comprises: receiving an Object Constraint Language (OCL) expression-based evaluation request; transforming at least part of the OCL expressions in the evaluation request into query requests; querying relevant data based on the query requests; and evaluating data obtained from the querying based on the evaluation request. The present invention may support evaluation of complex OCL expressions on a mass data set.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of curing inflammatory acne by applying a carbon lotion onto a face covered with acne, irradiating the applied carbon lotion with a laser pulse having a pulse width of microsecond, and irradiating the applied carbon lotion with a laser pulse having a pulse width of nanosecond to sterilize acne bacilli and open skin pores clogged with sebum, thereby entirely treating the inflammatory acne. The method includes applying the carbon lotion onto epidermis to be cured and pores, irradiating the carbon lotion with a laser pulse to heat and burst the applied carbon lotion. With the method, the inflammatory acne is simply cured without scar.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer-implemented system, and a computer program product for answering a database-based query of a computerized database system. The method includes: generating a canonical individual ind? with respect to a role and a concept, for an existential restriction in an ontology used in the computerized database system; converting implicit data in original data into explicit data using the canonical individual ind? and the ontology; and retrieving an answer meeting all query conditions in a query from the original data and the converted explicit data. The computer-implemented system includes: a canonical individual generation unit; a data conversion engine; and a query unit.

Abstract: A method for transforming Extensible Markup Language (XML) data to Resource Description Framework (RDF) data. The method includes the steps of: receiving a predefined mapping file; retrieving the correspondences between XML elements and/or attributes in the XML data and/or properties and concepts of the RDF data as specified by the mapping file, wherein the correspondence is represented by elements of the mapping file; processing elements of the mapping file to obtain XML elements and/or attributes and generate corresponding RDF resources; and generating the RDF data by using the generated RDF resources. A corresponding transformation engine apparatus is configured to perform the foregoing method.

The compositions comprise any one, two, or three of the following: magnolol, honokiol, imperatorin, isoimperatorin or only magnolol, honokiol, imperatorin, isoimperatorin and a physiologically acceptable carrier. In preferred embodiments, the medical conditions include disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as diarrhea and constipation.

The device under test may be mounted on a scanning stage. The system permits high spatial resolution selected area spectroscopic analysis, panchromatic imaging, and spectroscopic mapping of the emitted radiation from the device under test.
